These are just about the most expensive tacos there are, but I really enjoy the attention to detail, the quality of the ingredients, and most of all the perfection of the sous vide egg. A huevos taco is pretty uncommon but absolutely fantastic, and delicate enough to not outshine the perfection of the tortilla.

Unreal. Went to look at the Hickory Street mural and walked into the shop because someone was putting out a simple sign indicating that there were tacos inside. I ordered only one because it was 11am, and I had lunch plans later. Just wanted to try a taco. And DAMN that was a good taco. It was perfectly cooked, flavored, and presented. I went back the next day to eat more of them lol. I ordered the bowl instead of tacos on day two, though. I recommend the tacos over the bowl. While the bowl still has the tasty ingredients, there’s not as much complexity as the taco in terms of flavors and textures. Excellent place overall.

Great taco place which is quite a hidden gem. Went during lunch time where they don’t have sit down service but the food is simply amazing. They always have a vegetarian option on their menu. You can either have tacos or a bowl and both are really good. It’s a 10 min walk from civic center BART station. The prices are slightly on the higher side but it’s worth it.

Nice way to get a preview of Cala, which was incredibly booked during my stay. The tacos were all great and the setting was neat. Felt very much like a secret. A little on the pricier side for tacos, but from the chef of Contramar fame, I’ll pay the price of admission anytime.
