Ohmygoodness! Coming from the East Coast, we just don’t have baked goods like this! Massive donuts, turnovers, cinnamon buns! I’m not even sure what I got, but my friends recommended the place and picked me up a selection. An apple fritter and a cinnamon bun, I believe?! Super good! They also shared with me the story of the place and the passing down of the recipes, makes sense and adds something special to it all!

Sweet Creations has the best donuts and Danish around and their cookies are excellent as well! I have been rewarding my clients for years with their amazing bakery and it never goes unnoticed. I’ve actually had clients tell me their favorite day in December is when I bring them these treats. I actually had an employee at one of my clients, who I don’t even know, write me a hand written note saying how much he appreciated them. Whenever I bring them in to a client’s breakroom and see what other companies offer, my Sweet Creation’s treats put theirs to shame.

We stopped in here while in the area hiking the nearby Ice Age trail. The large sign advertising coffee in front of the building belies the fact that the staff working there did not know how to make any of the coffee drinks on the menu. My husband finally settled on coffee (which she made really strong!) with a lot of milk in it. She could not make me a chai tea latte either. While the staff was very friendly and professional I question the staffing of a shop that advertises coffee drinks but doesn’t employ anyone that can make them. Surely we aren’t the only people to stop by at 1:30 pm on a Saturday looking for a coffee drink? This shop also has a lot of tasty treats but I found that none of them were labeled. I had to keep asking what cookie was what. There were a dizzying array of pastries that I was contemplating purchasing but I didn’t want to have to go through the explanation of what any of them were. I would suggest a sign at the end of the tray so we know what we’re looking at? The cookies I purchased I found to be a little dry. My husband got a double chocolate muffin which was really dense and also dry. Despite the very friendly and hard-working staff, I do not think we will return if ever in the area again.

We ordered a cappuccino and a mocha and took them to go. When the employee was making our drinks she was talking to a customer who appeared to be a friend of hers the whole time. When we arrived at home we realized there was no espresso in our drinks. So we basically had hot milk and a hot chocolate. We drove back and were greeted by the same staff member who made our drinks. When we told her the issue she replied, well sorry I don’t make them like Starbucks. So we once again told her that there was literally no espresso in the drinks. She stated she would make them over. She got as far as steaming the milk when she asked again what the problem was. Again, we said no espresso was in our drinks. She paused and said something along the lines of you know what, I don’t think I can do any better this time I will just refund you your money. She made made us feel like we were the problem, when in fact she had no clue how to make the drinks to begin with. The only plus side was we got our money back and went up the road to the Organic Market Coffee Shop were we were greeted with a smile and a given a wonderful drink. We will definitely be skipping Sweet Creations in the future.

We compared Sweet Creation’s cupcakes to another nearby home bakery cake/cupcake business at a b-day party this weekend. It was unanimous that Sweet Creations were the best! They were tastier, moister, larger and a better value! The doughnuts are so delicious too! We need to keep this place in business!

If anyone remembers House of Cakes in Menomonee Falls and the delicious donuts they made which has since closed. I was told from an employee the same baker who used to work there now works at Sweet Creations and brought the recipes with him! The donuts at Sweet Creations are just as delicious and our favorite place for sweets!!!!!

Stopped here to after craving for a few weeks from Mequon. Unfortunately they were sold out of glazed, no strawberry smoothie, and few other things. This is mid-day so was a little disappointed but the staff were kind and service was good. Facility was acceptable and we would return (hoping they will not be sold out again).

I drive to Sweet Creations from the Menomonee Falls area because they use the recipes of the bakery that used to be there. The cream-filled long Johns and their cream-filled strudel coffee cake are my favorites! I buy in quantity and wrap/freeze them individually. The will keep in the freezer for up to 3 months. These are home-style donuts … not the lard-tasting things that Pick ‘n Save passes off as bakery,
