Sweet Basil is absolutely the BEST Thai food I have ever had across the USA! The Tom Kha soup was extremely flavorful with just the right amount of heat (your choice of spice level 1-5, I got the 4), spices and lemongrass. Sometimes lemongrass can either be too strong or not present at all, but at Sweet Basil the flavors were all in perfect balance.

This is our first time eating at Sweet Basil. My wife and I saw that this restaurant served Thai food close to our house, and when looking at their menu online, they also have loatian food as well. It was something new for us. We are glad we ordered from Sweet Basil. The food was super delicious. We ordered the Tom Kha soup, and the flavor was really good. Next was the Chicken Basil fried rice. Omg it was really good, I could’ve had that alone as a meal. Lastly, we ordered the Starter Platter, and I would definitely recommend it. The meat and chicken street eats marinade they use is super delicious, and we now want to return to try more food on the menu. I’m so glad we finally tried Sweet Basil, and it’s a restaurant we will definitely be returning to. Thank you to the owners for bringing such good food to this area.

My daughters and I ate at Sweet Basil for the first time over a week ago. I have been wanting to scratch this restaurant off of my “To eat at” list for a long while now.

I fell in love with this modern take on Thai food! Beautiful plates and restaurant. My family and I had the yellow curry, Jeow bong noodles both with chicken and they tasted fresh and had high quality chicken. We also tried the crab rangoons and fresh spring rolls and loved them for our appetizers. If you have room for dessert try the coconut milk mango sticky rice!! My family and I love Thai Laos food and we are very pleased with our experience at Sweet Basil<3 we will be coming back!

Love this place! This is my reason to make the drive to Franklin. The food was hot, fresh and flavorful. And the service was great. Definitely try the chili special if they have it. I’ve also tried the panang curry, pasta kee mao, the thai tea, tropical punch, mango and sticky rice, fried apple egg rolls and the lod chung drink. You can’t go wrong with any of it. Will definitely be back to try other things!

Being from Thailand, I know I am extremely critical when reviewing Thai restaurants. That said, Sweet Basil is an exceptional Thai restaurant that combines tradition with modernized hospitality and service to serve excellent food. The food was awesome and the portions are justified. I did not expect it to be as incredible as it was, because Thai restaurants in Milwaukee are typically letdowns. This place is definitely an exception and highly recommended…I ordered Papaya Salad, Laos Sausage, Panang Curry, and Sticky rice. For dessert we got the fried banana. Again, everything was excellent!

I stopped in for the first time to Sweet Basil and ordered the Starter Platter. There’s hand menus and also digital ones on the wall. You order at the counter. (Bonus: they accept Apple Pay!) All of their staff were friendly. They have smaller plates and to-go boxes you can grab at any time. The restaurant was decorated so cute. I loved everything about Sweet Basil. The food was incredible. I was in love at first bite. This is one of the freshest meals I’ve ever had. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying other menu options!

First time there and will definitely go back. We ordered take out and when we opened our food at home we were so excited to eat it. We had basil fried rice (delicious) and the starter platter (couldn’t be better). Everything was delicious and so far the best crab rangoon I have had. I will go back to try more, and we’re very happy we gave it a try. We waited about 35 mins for freshly cooked food. I will highly recommend it to anyone.

I got a few things from Sweet Basil. First off, everything tasted SO fresh. I got the sauced wings-sweet chili flavored. Also got the Pad Thai noodles with chicken, shrimp spring rolls, and the lod chong drink. Wings tasted like they were marinated for some time and were so flavorful. Pad thai tasted so fresh and yummy and the spring rolls too. The drink was interesting and different, I can’t explain the flavors (check out the menu for that haha). But I would definitely get it again, it was new to my tastebuds. This spot is so worth checking out, try it if you haven’t or been thinking about it!
