Husband and I stopped in for lunch. The one waitress was handling the orders well as they began to fill up. Avg. Dinner sandwiches and plated meals. We ordered the dbl chz burger and catfish sandwich and split an order of American fries. The server got them to split the order of fries between both plates which was nice but to be honest it didn’t improve their taste as they tasted like they were fried in the same oil as fish and many other items as they just had a pungent taste I wasn’t a big fan of. Otherwise the food was good just a little on the pricey side for what was available and the outdated atmosphere.

We were coming back from St Louis and stopped for breakfast. I had ham and biscuits and gravy. Delicious. Biscuits were fluffy and the gravy was spiced just right. Took a piece of German chocolate cake to go. My goodness it was delicious.

WONDERFUL variety of menu items with a top-notch daily special, an excellent waitress (Ellen) who shines with a bright smile and cordial personality, same day freshly made baked items that will tempt anyone to break their diet, and VERY reasonable prices. Why the 4 rating with all those compliments? Largely because their hours are restricted due to factors beyond their control — that blasted Covid-19!

This is an amazing small town Cafe. The food truly is amazing, service is outstanding both of my granddaughters love to go there. I usually get a salad from their salad bar and my granddaughters both love the pickled beets from the salad bar and one of them even likes the cottage cheese.

Food was good, hamburger was perfect. French fries undercooked. However paying $1.50 for 1 can of soda is pricey considering I can go to Walgreen’s and get a 12 pack for $3.00. Normally I drink sweet tea which was also not on the menu.
