Food was excellent. I came in from Tampa FL and didn’t know why to expect being this was right below my Airbnb. It ended up being one of the best Filets I have ever had in my life. Perfect presentation, very attentive staff, and a very comfy vibe. Lauren was my waitress and she was great. She was very attentive, but let me have my space which I like. I also had a great conversation with Fernando who was awesome. I wish I lived here but I don’t. I think I would spend my whole paycheck weekly at this restaurant.

Now this was not the typical vertical experience but was my first time here. A friend was excited over this Lingua Franca wine dinner here. And if course it was on a super cold post snowy day. But we tasted 8 wines paired with calamari,short ribs, tuna,pork belly,etc. And this was fun, not stuffy. Maybe not something you’d do everyday but good to experience. And the food was great. I can see this for a special.evening but I’d just come back for a good meal as the service was excellent.

This place is a steak lover’s dream come true. The steaks are cooked to perfection, and the price is incredibly reasonable for the size you get. Get the grapes! Their wine selection is fantastic.

Enjoyed the ambiance of Vertical. Food was delicious but not kept hot. Dinner if scallops, a pasta dish, appetizers of cabbafe & mussels were all act room temp to warm. I did ask my guest’s pasta dinner entre be heated because she likes her meal hot. They brought it back less than 5 mintues later with my scallops meal, both just warm.

Went to Vertical Detroit for dinner with a friend and it was fantastic! The food, service and atmosphere were outstanding and it was a most enjoyable dining experience. Moreover, if one is a wine lover, this is the BEST place to go in all of Detroit. They carry thousands of variations of wine and the staff is knowledgeable about them all! I highly recommend a visit to Vertical Detroit after a concert, sporting event or just for a nice meal and wine! Many thanks to the great staff and we’ll be back soon!

I walked into this establishment and everyone was really polite! I was immediately seated. Service was good!
The food wasn’t my cup of tea. Ordered carrots, octopus, focaccia (house made special-garlic and Parmesan), and salmon in a mushroom/bok choy broth.
The focaccia was good! The octopus was super thin, I’m guessing for the aesthetics, and unexpectedly served cold. I did not eat it because it smelled really fishy. The salmon was over cooked, and the broth was not warm at all.

I am glad we came here out of all other places. Everything had unique flavors and was delicious. And put waiter Aisha was best and took really good care of us. Especially loved it, when she brought different shape wine glasses based on what I have ordered, to enjoy the flavor and aroma of the wine. Great experience. Thank you!

I came here solo. I ordered the 2 cocktails the mussels for an appetizer and the ribeye for my entree. The food was was great. My drinks were well made. My only complaint was the service at the bar. The service was ok but they were not very friendly. One bartender never spoke the entire time. I would come back but maybe not sit at the bar
