What can I say about this little area. There’s not much. There’s really nothing in the area. But this cute little restaurant. The food on it is pretty good. The staff is friendly. Staff is a little disorganized and kind of all over the place. But I can tell that most of them are trying and working hard. Which I definitely respect. I really loved the cute little drawing on the wall about the little girl who wants to work at her aunt’s restaurant Susan’s. That was adorable and very family-oriented. Perfect for the atmosphere. I had ordered a pizza, just cheese. Super simple. It came out a little bit burnt. I also ordered a double cheeseburger. The double cheeseburger came with only one patty. And I had to mention it to the staff. When they looked on the ticket they had charged me for two patties. But I only received one. They then cooked me up a barebones patty that they served me on another plate. Nothing came with it. It was just a slap of meat on a paper plate. No bun, no lettuce tomato, just a bare patty. They didn’t even give me a bun for the additional patty as a oops we’re sorry. The french fries are also a little bit soggy and not crispy. The only thing I would say about this restaurant which is very good Are there banana splits, and they’re brownie Sundae. If I were to go eat there again. I think I would just stick to the banana split or brownie sundae. I ate at this restaurant two times in my stay in that area. Both times I asked for no ice in my drink. And they gave me ice and I had to remind them no ice and then they had to fix it. The last thing I wish they would change in the restaurant is the Styrofoam cups. Something a little more biodegradable would be nice to see. I haven’t seen anyone use a styrofoam cup in a restaurant in a very long time. Their paper plates that they use for everything are fine. Honestly I would like to see some actual dishes at a restaurant. But I guess work with what you have. If they were to upgrade some things I would suggest, stop using plastic knives and forks, Styrofoam cups, and paper plates. work on staff organization. Other than all of these things that I’ve mentioned I think the restaurant has some really good potential. I’m giving a three stars just because of the desserts. If I were rating just the food. It would be two.

Thank you for cooking such a great meal. As a truck driver, nothing compares to food cooked to satisfy a hungry belly. First time visiting this restaurant, and I am glad I did.

Normally I enjoy Susan’s restaurant food, the pizza is great. Tonight I got a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The bun was burnt, couldn’t eat it and the fries were barely cooked, I had to finish cooking them in my air fryer. The purpose of tonight’s dinner was so I didn’t have to cook, but I had to anyways, what a waste of my money.

Great place to stop and eat. This is a small locals diner. You won’t find zipper peas, collard greens,, or baby lima beans at a chain restaurant, but you will here. The mullet is excellent. Check out the Blue Plate Specials. The hubby likes the Shepards pie.

Real deal, down home Southern diner. Good food, great service, reasonably priced.

The food was good. We tried a lot of the southern foods that aren’t served in other parts of the country (fried okra, gizzards, etc.), and they were tasty. However, the portions were weird (a large helping of some things, but very small with others). Our server was impatient and unhelpful, but not really rude (on the border of rude…). The atmosphere was boring but it was relatively clean. It’s probably the only restaurant in Holt, so you take what you can get, right? All in all, it’s worth a visit, but I probably won’t be back.

A great little local, out of the way dining experience. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by the most amazing smell of food! The staff was all very friendly. Our family of 4 ordered 2 pepperoni pizzas. They were good. But there was a lot of other food on the menu I would have loved to try if we had been in the area longer. AND they have hand scooped ice cream. A delicious dessert!
