we came here earlier today because we saw it on the way to a museum.. and it was an awful decision. i ordered a passion fruit tea, and we ordered some food from the barbecue menu. the tea was amazing, the barbecue? awful.

I finally got to try this place. Everyone got something different. Ribs & brisket w/collard greens, ribs, smoked chicken & green beans, lastly 1/4 slab of ribs & mac/cheese. Everyone received corn bread. We order extra jerk chicken, Italian sausage & wings.

Ok if you like TX and properly smoked bbq this is not for you. Go elsewhere. This is more North Carolina and fusion. I was not personally happy because I like burnt ends, brisket with the smoke ring and woody taste and massive flavor. But I am giving it four stars because it earns four stars. (Would have been five without the corn bread and chicken problems).

I got the two meat combo with pork ribs and brisket. Both were very tender with good smokey Bark on both. Seem to be seasoned with just salt & pepper, but that’s fine by me. I love being able to taste the flavor of the meat.

My Mac and cheese was microwaved to the point the cheese was hard on top and oil had seperated. The brisket was half fat and tasted gross. I couldn’t eat it. Ribs were actually ok/good. Not nearly enough to save the meal

If you haven’t stopped in, YOU SHOULD. For more than a year I passed this place on my walk and never stopped. My mistake. Start with the food. The rib special with two sides is delicious, juicy and smoked just right. I like the spicy BBQ sauce and the amazing thing is that two the small sides fill you up. On dessert? Try the pecan, sweet potato pies or the banana pudding (in pretty sure the sweet potato and the banana pudding are home made.

The first time I bought food from this place, it was so good! I got the brisket, ribs, and rib tips. They were perfect! The ribs were so tender the meat was falling from the bone. But every time after that, it was not good. The meat is often tough and unenjoyable. I keep trying to give them another chance because I loveeeee ribs and brisket and it was good the first time but I always end up regretting coming back. I hate when the quality of the food is inconsistent. I have finally learned my lesson and will not be returning! There are no good rib places in DC anymore 🙁

Find my self coming here all the time for boba. Matcha milk tea, green Thai tea, Thai milk tea are my favorite flavors. Turkey leg is all a must try.

Review for the barbecue. Ordered a 18$ 2 meat combo meal with 1/4 rack (pork) ribs and moist beef brisket, that came with 1 cold water bottle and 1 side of candied yams, and two small sides of sauce.
