Our favorite ramen place in all of downtown Chicago. Be prepared to try some of the tastiest & most succulent pork that you have ever had. I’m not sure what their recipe is but it’s dynamite. It’s sweet, tender, & spicy. Beats High Five and Ramen San by a mile. All of their ingredients taste amazing & are top quality. It’s our favorite restaurant for a “Rainy Ramen Day”. You will not be disappointed.

High-quality food in a nice atmosphere. The plating and presentation add to the dining experience. Placing the sauce next to the maki roll on the plate allows you to customize how much sauce you want. This is much better than drowning the roll in sauce, which kills the flavors. The chicken karrage was well-cooked, not burned like many other restaurants. My only negative criticism is using thin noodles for the yakisoba. Other than that, it was a nice dining experience.

Everything about this place has been 5 star. Their happy hour everyday from 4-7 is legit!! The lychee mojito is so so so damn good!! The grilled appetizers – shiitake mushrooms and shishito peppers MY ABSOLUTE FAV!!! Then pair those with the red dragon and it’s heaven. Their ramen is great too, it has lots of depth of flavors. Overall I’d give this spot a 5/5. Their playlist inside is also fire!! Check em out y’al, no cap – it’s a nice lil low key date spot too!!

Nice lunch spot and has decent flavors, but it lacks something. The food presentation is elaborate, perhaps trying too hard to compensate for the underwhelming atmosphere. The place itself is decent, but it gives off a strange, empty vibe, even when it’s not completely empty.

If you’re looking for the best ramen or sushi you’ve ever eaten, look no further than Sumu!!! You will be treated by outstanding service and quality. The noodles are made by hand everyday. The sushi was the best I’ve eaten, very fresh. The ramen broth was unbelievably good. My daughter loves the ramen here. I highly recommend getting anything from the menu and you won’t want to go anywhere else!

REGULAR food! The service was really nice and the place is beautiful however I had to admit the panko chicken in my ramen got soggy which made it awful to eat and the salmon was a little burnt!

Delicious. The goyza had delicious meaty filling with a complex umami savory sauce. The egg rolls were also good with a crisp shell and plenty of filling with a sweet, then hot sauce. I very much enjoyed my spicy tuna with the ability to add as much heat as you wanted with the spicy mayo. The salmon avocado was very fresh tasting, but a bit mushy for my tastes. The Ramen though….we got Shoyu Pork and Shio Pork. Both were delicious and flavorful with two pieces of tender, flavorful pork. It was a very filling bowl, that was delicious the whole way through. The lychee ice cream was a revelation with a gentle sweetness that managed to be very refreshing and it was pretty too.

Food 3/5, got the crispy ramen and black shio ramen. Pork belly slices on both was extremely sweet, and cut along the grain, so the meat was a bit chewy and got stuck in teeth. The ground pork in the crispy ramen tasted like it was cooked with premade chilly sauce. The Crispy part was huge and had to put it to the side to access ramen

The ramen is surprisingly good, the chashu is big portion and very satisfying. The egg is cooked perfect with liquid in it.

Food was fantastic!! Had a large group and everyone loved their food choice- a little bit of everything: ramen, sushi, fried rice, and dessert. Staff was friendly. I’m not a fan of street parking but it is Chicago, so it is what it is.
