My nightmare started last Sunday when I ordered a sandwich in the app at a little before 6pm. Their hours in Google says they are open to 7pm, so it should be good. Their system accepted the order and debited my card. It said the order was being built so I headed to the store which is inside a BP gas station and has a Dunkin as well. When I got there a few minutes later, the lights were off and they were just about done with their end of night closing tasks, so they had likely started shutting down well before they actually closed. I spoke with girl there who told me they close @ 6pm. I explained that they’re system took my order and told me it was being built. I obviously was not getting my sandwich, and she took my name and phone number and said she would call me the next day after she cancelled the order. She did not call and the transaction went through. I heard nothing on Monday or Tuesday, so they clearly did not care.
I went in on Wednesday and they were somewhat aware of my situation and called their manager to discuss. They would not give me a refund, but offered me the sandwich that I had already paid for. So, I was hungry and just decided to take the sandwich.
She built the sandwich skimping on every item, like the costs were coming directly out of her pocket. She focused on the center of the sandwich and neglecting ingredients on the ends. She did however over spice the sandwich by accidentally dumping an obnoxious amount of salt and pepper on the center veggies and not consistent throughout the sandwich.
Then I asked to make it a combo with chips and a drink, which is $2.99 extra. If I was the manager, I would give that to the customer for free to compensate for the entire bad situation and especially for not following up, which is inexcusable. A good manager would put a smile on their customers face, and make it right. But, that did not happen here. They could care less about their customers and don’t understand how to run a retail operation. No, not only did they not do that, she tried to charge me the full price (about $5) for the chips and drink and would not give me the combo deal price because she said the sandwich was considered “waste” in her register. I explained that I paid for the sandwich already but she did not understand and would only charge the full price and got very indignant with me. It was at that point that I told her I was never coming back and did not take the chips and drink.
What I did not realize until I got home, was just how bad the sandwich was. The bread was stale and crumbly, the lettuce was partially brownish and wilted, the tomatoes mushy and had a bad taste to them, but the worst was the pickles. They were old, translucent, and ransid. I got through about two or three bites and tossed the whole thing out.
My friends don’t go there because they say it’s a food place inside a gas station and that is what is expected from a place like that. I truly gave them a chance, but that has now ended in disaster and I learned a lesson about gas station food. I thought Subway would have standards and train their people well. I was wrong.
There is rarely anyone in there when I have gone and now they will have one less person from a dwindling group of people who gave them a chance.

Not only was my experience today bad, but on one other occasion I overheard the owner talking badly about customers who had visited. She was a very mean woman and all her little employees were sharing their stories about how much they disliked customers too. I would give them 0 stars if I could.
