We are an older couple that drove all day, looking for a nice and relaxed dinner. The place was not that busy, but they put us next to a table of 6 loud mouth construction workers. We asked if we could move. Waitress said she didn’t know if she could do that, so we said we’d suffer through.

Ok, just what it says steak and spirits, no thrills, no spills. I had the 16 oz prime rib, and it was cooked to its potential. Being an experienced cook, it is a cheaper slab of beef, but it was cooked correctly. The salad “cut iceberg lettuce” with its sides needs work. There was a leaf inside that had turned brown. Meanwhile, my wife is not into beef that much. She had the baked potato with everything, it was a bit dry but with extra butter and sour cream it was better. So overall, if you like steak, it’s a good start. They only serve steak. They are not known for their deserts.

I was a little disappointed when I arrived around 2:30 on a Thursday afternoon. Their sign said, “Filet Mignon $13.95 (which they do have Sunday – Thursday and more),” but they just didn’t have it on their lunch menu. Lunch is from 11 AM – 3 PM despite their current sign that says 11 AM – 2 PM, and dinner is from 4:30 PM – Close. They also have an amazing prime rib special on Friday and Saturday. This is a GREAT location on US 50 across from the Hampton Inn & Suites. I am looking forward to going back and trying their food, and when I do, I have a feeling that I will update this rating. Until then….

OMG! The weirdest experience ever . We walked in and stood by the sign that said wait to be seated, and someone is hollering from somewhere (the bar) she said come on around here so I can see you. Then she tells us we only have one thing on the menu filet mignon with sides. The steak looked all chewed up,something about the tenderizing? I couldn’t eat it.

It’s so funny because you can tell who gets it and who doesn’t. It’s very specific. One item. Drinks. Ridiculously cheap prices. So much fun. One of my favorite places ever. But I get it. As for the rest of the reviews:. 3 or less stars means they stumbled in unaware and didn’t get it. Five stars means they have probably been here before and they get it. This is my fifth time. I love this place.

I gave it 3 stars to be nice. Seriously don’t waist your money. 6 steaks was 152 and some change. My grandma asked for her rare, came warm and bloody, sent it back and got, what might as well have been extra crispy bacon. Salad was wired. A wedge of lettus. House dressing was pretty good, not gonna lie. Twice baked potatoe was DRY, cook forgot the bacon, and green onions on all 6 potatoes.! Mac and cheese was pretty good. The atmosphere was dark and gloomy. And it IS SO HOT INSIDE.! Seeing how the menu is one item you would think the cook would know HOW TO COOK IT. The only other rave i have is the steak we got was of good quality. Not fatty or chewy The menu said “draft beer” so my husband ordered a draft bluemoon and it came in a bottle. .Our waitress Melissa, bless her soul, was great. She tried and tried to make it right. The only complaint was how long it took her to bring us out our unreasonable check. The table had cleared and my husband stayed behind waiting for the check for 20 minutes.

I don’t even know where to begin. It was so shocking it was comical. They only offer 1 item on the menu and they’ll cook the steak however they want no matter what you tell them. Atmosphere is weird and dark. Salad was abismal. You can’t wash iceberg properly as a wedge salad. Their “house” dressing is ranch and honey mustard mixed together. And you would think if all they offer is a filet mignon that it would cut like butter but you’d be wrong. Steak was chewy and my husband’s was unedible. I hope I don’t get food poisoning.

It is great! Seriously, if you are passing through you should try this place. I guarantee you, ole Lakrisha can not make a steak anywhere near this good at home, so clearly she lied, don’t listen to her. I’m glad she wont ever be back to ruin the experience for others with her bad attitude. I don’t know if I will ever be back either because I live so far away but if I ever go back to Salida I will be back for a great steak at Quincy’s Steak and Spirits. The blue cheese wedge salad was good, the baked potato was phenomenal!!! Good drinks, good atmosphere. I would give it five stars because that’s what it is for me, but I know some of you reading this will be disappointed because it is a little outdated and they do only offer one option you just pick how big you want the steak to be cut! Try it, enjoy the experience, don’t be a Debby downer like Lakrisha is, enjoy your life and great food!
