Went in during dining hours to a locked door with three employees just standing there looking at me. They claimed they didn’t have enough staff yet the other day let me in with two employees in the whole restaurant. Food wait time is insane and service is decent at best. I go to school down the street and it’s a shame I won’t be coming back. Laziness at its finest. I’ll be letting ppl know how much you guys care about the students you guys are supposed to serve.

When I arrived, I ordered takeout at the kiosk. The kiosk would not take my gift card, despite it listing gift cards as an accepted source of payment. I tried several times as did another customer. With no luck, we both had to pay with our debit cards instead. I was unable to get any of the staff’s attention for assistance. Our food took 20 mins to come out and they forgot our milkshakes. I was blatantly ignored when asking staff members for assistance. More than 5 minutes later, I was able to ask a worker about my milkshakes and she said she’ll go make them. Our 3 milkshakes took 15-20 minutes to come out. Another lady was at the restaurant, waiting for her order from the time I arrived and left. After I got home, I looked in the two cups of chili I ordered, and they were less than half full! Both together didn’t even make a full cup. We also ordered two orders of fries and they were unbelievably salty. They weren’t even edible due to the immense amount of salt on them. I am not very happy with the speed of service, the accuracy of my order, staff assistance, and the quality of my food. Not sure if I will be returning. What would have been a free meal turned into a complete waste of money.

I’ve been there several times in the past few months and you can never tell if the dining room is going to be open or closed. It says it’s open today on google, but despite there being no “dining room closed” sign on the door as is their usual fair, the doors were simply locked.

45 minutes in the drive thru $40 dollars worth of food and it was my worst experience at steak and shake. Cold fries. My drinks should have been large and I got medium. No cheese cup even though I paid extra. And my burger is dry and is missing my butter onions. Tried to call to inform on the issues and no one answered. Definitely was not waiting another 45 minutes by hopping in drive thru again.

If I could give negative stars I would. It has been over 2 years and I’m still waiting on a refund. One night I ordered online and went to go pick up my food to be told we’re closed and now I was stuck with no food and my card already charged. They said just cancel the order but THERE IS NO WAY TO CANCEL THE ORDER ONCE YOUR CARD IS CHARGED. Tried calling customer service the number doesn’t work. Tried calling the store to talk to a manager, the GM Josh said he would take care of it but it has not been dealt with at all. ( side note his other steak n shake he takes care of in Sandusky was shut down for months because of health violations). I will never eat at a steak n shake again. Poor customer service, no food and they steal your money. I am pretty sure 2 years waiting on a refund that I will never get. I feel bad for anyone that works there. Negative 10

Quite a disappointment. I ordered a meal and sat down. A clean table was hard to find. I patiently waited as orders came out and watched people come after me eat and leave. My ticket was never called. After 45 minutes I check in at the counter and the manager was confused looking at the ticket. She said that they lost the order. Not sure how that happens with a computerized system. Maybe they gave it away to another customer or cleared by mistake, they did not know. With the recent change to remove wait staff they have stopped paying attention to customers. Anyone paying attention would have noticed me standing there for 45 minutes. I asked for a refund and even that had trouble. She spent 5 minutes trying but gave up and gave me cash instead. She apologized but that was it. The owner of this location needs to show up and fix the many issues customers have here in the comments. This is essentially just slow fast food that they ask you to tip for.

Great food, like really well prepared, tasted exactly like it should. But as for Cleanlieness….. it might be time to burn the place down. Layers of grime from years of service. The entire dining room needs to be …..well COMPLETELY SCRUBBED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. FYI…white tile floor in a public space may not have been the best choice.

The food was great. When we arrived there were very few people there, bus as they started to get busier everything seemed to fall apart for the staff. People were waiting a long time for orders and many seemed to be wrong judging by the amount of people complaining.

When I say this place went down hill…..WHAT HAPPENED?! went here tonight for a family dinner and man were we surprised when we got there! No servers AT ALL anymore! When did that happen?? You order on a screen even if you are dining in and me and my husband ordered all our food for the card machine to not work…. Had to completely reorder on another machine. Guy cooking behind the counter complaining about doing his job. After we finally ordered we went to find a table to sit at….every single one was filthy. No one is cleaning the dining room. I had to get napkins to clean our table and seats off to even sit. Milkshakes are subpar. Whip cream was so cheap and thick, gross. Got our order, didn’t get any of the sauces we ordered or my husband’s chili. Had to keep going back up to the counter and the guy running the grill didn’t seem too apologetic…. Food was wrapped all sloppy. $50 for 3 people….could have gotten better food/ service at the china buffet. Definitely gone downhill….this place used to be so lively and had great service and was kept clean. I’m not sure if it’s new management but we won’t be back.
