We went on a weekend afternoon and were blown away by the service. We walked in and immediately the front counter staff were cheerfully explaining how to use the new digital screens in case we didn’t want to order at the counter. They answered any questions my grandparents had and were very nice.

This Richmond, Kentucky Steak ‘n Shake is one of the best franchises of this brand. Always clean, a very friendly staff, and the food looks like they actually care about how it is cooked, assembled and packaged at the drive thru. Hamburger wasn’t greasy or over salted, it was beautifully balanced with solely the extra lettuce, tomato and mustard as requested. We rarely have a burger but we stop here every time we pass by in our travels. It rarely disappoints.

The customer service here is not good at all, I’m hard of hearing and I had to ask the guy to repeat himself. He got super snippy with me. I waited over 10 minutes at the window, and that’s okay. I understand that food service takes time and I was happy to wait. Although, with it taking that long I expected my food to be done and made correctly. The fries were completely upside down in the bag, and the worst was the Frisco Melt. The pressing board for the toast wasn’t touched, it was never “smashed”. The cheese wasn’t melted. I know it isn’t easy, but you have to respect yourself enough to make a valuable effort.

Went here for a quick lunch with my boyfriend and we were very pleased. The food was really delicious, hot, and fresh. I got a Nutella milkshake, it a little on the thick side but I highly recommend it!! The workers were very helpful and friendly. Love my experience here overall :))

Kids loved it. Been a while since been here it turned into more of a self service restaurant, however staff was readily available and asking if we needed further assistance several times. Good cost effective place to take the kids for burgers and shakes without breaking the bank

Stopped by Steak ‘n Shake for lunch in Richmond. Very few patrons in the restaurant. Walked in…was greeted by a SIGN saying to place your order and pay at kiosk. This was our 1st time inside a Steak ‘n Shake in awhile. Several kiosks were spaced out at entrance. Kiosks was pretty easy to navigate and pay. A self serve drink station had been installed. Restaurant was FREEZING COLD!!!!! Saw maybe 5 employees, total, the entire time we were there. NO SERVERS!! Grill guy brought out our food. Same one that cooked it. The pandemic has hit this place hard! Food was your usual good Steak ‘n Shake cheeseburgers and fries. Chocolate milkshake and strawberry milkshake were great…except that it was sooo cold in that place. Couldn’t wait to get outside and warm up….and this was the middle of Nov.
