I recently visited Steak ‘n Shake and had a mixed experience. The food was decent, especially the burgers, which were juicy and flavorful. However, the fries were a bit underwhelming—lacking that crispiness I was hoping for. The service was friendly, but the wait time for our food was longer than expected, even though the restaurant wasn’t too busy. The prices are reasonable, making it a fair option for a casual meal, but there are definitely areas where they could step up their game. Overall, it’s an okay spot if you’re in the mood for a quick bite, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.

Went to eat here Saturday about 8pm, we had a party of 10 and were seated right away. They pulled tables together to allow us to sit as one party. I can’t remember the guys name that waited on us, he was a black man, maybe n his 40s or so he was AMAZING! He done an excellent job. Food came out fast, and it was fresh. He was very attentive bringing refills. Very pleased with the whole dining experience.

For the newer generation, Steak ‘n Shake has made life easier. From ordering from a kiosk to seating yourself, and then the food being dropped off to you still. I was taken aback at first as this was my first time in Steak ‘N Shake in probably the better part of a decade. The wife and I had a good meal with the right amount of grease and topped off with a milkshake. Total for everything was $33. It’s definitely worth a second chance for anyone who hasn’t eaten here in a long while.

I go here about 2 times a week because I love steak and shake ! Today November 3 I go about 9 pm and I placedy order and I pull up to the window pay and get greeted and handed my food ! Upon opening the bag I look inside and the top fry was thrown upside down on top the other fry and falling between the other food boxes in the bag ! I’m a diabetic so I was needing something quick and tasty ! I didn’t want to spend time digging fries out of the bag and off another fry ! I wasn’t the only one who needed to eat ! Horrible ! And I got saltier then normal fries

I went to dine in for dinner here on 9/2/25. I’ve never had a bad experience here, but after finishing dinner I left the restaurant and felt sick and feverish. Didn’t think anything of it. 15 minutes later I had to use the restroom constantly excreting bodily fluids for the next 7 hrs. Wrote them an email the day after about my experience and got no response or follow up til this day.
