It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a steak n shake. This location has kiosks to place your order and a beverage dispenser which I found to be a nice addition based on my old memories of past visits with salty burnt out servers. The food was everything I expected, cooked to order, hot and crispy. Well done guys. I’m glad that there are some s&s that evolved and survived.

Ordered some food and a soda and a shake through doordash. Everything was in a sealed bag except the shake. I have to get a refund through doordash, and then go up there to get a shake (which kind of defeats the whole purpose of ordering in and TIPPING somebody) I ended up paying more than what doordash refunded me to get the stupid shake! Meanwhile my food is at home getting cold (which I explained to the manager). A *good* manager would’ve had my food remade and only charged me the $3 for the shake (which is what I was refunded and what he said he would charge me). I’ll go to the other steak n shake next time, awful experience tonight.

Used to be great fast-food with decent service. Now it’s just another souless no contact self service kiosk. The food was OK, although my burger did not sport the famous crispy edges that are the second best reason to go, after the super thin fries. The milkshake was the highlight of my visit, still served in an actual glass, and creamy and delicious as ever.

Do not use the mobile app for this business. A drive thru option was not offered on the app and when I arrived, there was a note on the door that said no shakes because the machines were down. Since I had ordered a shake on the app, I asked if I could get a burger in it’s place or my money back. They said they didn’t know anything at all about the app and that I would have to go back online and ask for my money back. When I did, there is no option for that on the app. I’m just out of a shake.

Went through the drive through at 9:45 PM July 23 quick service, you could see inside they were completely cleaning in the restaurant, got a 444 special double cheeseburger with fries food was absolutely incredible young lady working the window was very nice.

I give this a five star because Steak and Shake are an endangered species in Louisville, despite their atmosphere taking a huge nose dive since most of the experience is automated. I mean, I guess it’s nice because the staff can focus solely on food, but it takes away from the charm and personality. Definitely go if you like Steak and Shake.

Went to eat here Saturday about 8pm, we had a party of 10 and were seated right away. They pulled tables together to allow us to sit as one party. I can’t remember the guys name that waited on us, he was a black man, maybe n his 40s or so he was AMAZING! He done an excellent job. Food came out fast, and it was fresh. He was very attentive bringing refills. Very pleased with the whole dining experience.
