They’re a quaint neighborhood bar with an adjoining liquor store, which we patronized. It’s compact but with a good selection. The guy at the counter was very helpful and we selected a local gin. Price is reasonable. The atmosphere is Alaska grunge which totally fits its neighborhood motif – most cruise people walk on by. I give it a 4.5 only because some snooty people might be put off by it. That’s not fair.

Connor was delightful and knowledgeable. The bar was great. If I were a local, I would totally hang out here.

A locals and fisherman’s bar which also welcomes tourists. The lady behind the bar was friendly and helpful. Service is good, but drinks are quite pricy, but maybe this is normal for Alaska. It has the feel of an old American bar. There is a wall of pictures, which are very interesting – collected over the years of boats run aground or on fire just mishaps that have happened over the years. We also met and chatted to some friendly locals. Would recommend stopping here for a drink – especially their local distillery gin cocktails!

We stopped here as part of an excursion during our cruise. To be considered a “sourdough “, someone must live in the area for 5 full years. The bar seems to cater to the locals. I had a Bee’s Knees cocktail but the Alaskan White seemed to be the more popular drink. If someone rings the large bell above the bar, everyone gets a free drink.

Great little local bar. Good atmosphere and service. But not really service with a smile.

Here in Ketchikan on a cruise. This is the local bar to get away from the tourist traps. Had the best whiskey sour of our trip, and chatted with a local who’s been here 46 years. And the kicker.. 4 cocktails for $23 after tax. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Ketchikan!

This is a very good locals bar with great photos on the walls. Tourists are welcome and I highly recommend it if you don’t want a touristy bar.

Our tour guide told us this is the most interesting bar in Ketchikan, and he wasn’t lying. It’s a great place to have an affordable beer and watch the mix of people coming and going. The walls packed with old photos and strange relics from the past give you lots to look at as you soak in the atmosphere of a seaside town where it rains nearly every day. One thing to remember: they don’t serve food.

This place rocks, and Connor is a great bartender. Didn’t spend long there, but we had a great time.
