Wonderful staff and delicious food. What more do you need? I went in with a large group and the staff was very accommodating. A+

I can’t say enough great things about this Cafe. Everything about it is fantastic. The food is spectacular the service is beyond expectations. And did I mention the desserts. They are James Beard worthy. They have daily specials which they post around 10 am. Check it out and make sure you go. One of the best places ever.

This was a pleasant surprise. With 8 of 9 hrs remaining in my drive home I decided to stop for breakfast. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Manhattan style with Mayberry charm and hospitality. From the staff to the customers everyone in the establishment was incredibly friendly, the food was exceptional, and the only bad thing I could say about the stop was I didn’t have time to stick around for lunch. I hope I get the chance to stop by again, but even if I don’t I may just take a detour to create the opportunity.

This is a hidden gem in somerset. The cutest little place in somerset! When you walk in you get that feeling like you just walked into grandma’s house. You know that feeling like you know your welcome there and that somewhere is something sweet to eat. They have daily specials and hot coffee that is just right! Friendly people great food even greater atmosphere. I will be visiting everytime I get a chance. Throw the coffee on I’m on my way!

Was on a motorcycle trip exploring the Athen’s Windy Nine and one route, thankfully, took me right past Sophie’s Tea Room & Cafe. I like to look for tea shops on vacation. Don’t judge me. ; ) I entered the establishment and it is immaculate inside, charming and inviting. I was greeted by Jenni and she let me know I could sit wherever I would like. She was very warm and personable, talking about the shop and their wares. I felt right at home. Seemed several regulars come in and everyone knows each other. I had the Turkey Cranberry sandwich, kale sausage soup, apple cake and a pot of loose leaf tea. Major score finding this place. If I didn’t have to go back to Chicago I would become one of the regulars. All in all a great spot to stop, eat, and relax. I highly recommend it.

Sophies Tea Room has amazing food and literally the best tea I’ve ever had. The decor is very lovely, and the people there were so sweet. I’d love to go here more often.

Always, always good food! In addition to the regular menu, their specials often have good, down-home ‘comfort’ food.

Walked in to check it out for the first time, the place is very nice and welcoming but you have to wait to be seated which is different but I can deal with it. What really got us was when we were finally approached, the lady was very rude with an attitude and acted like it was an inconvenience for my girlfriend and I to be there. We said we have never been there before and didn’t know what we wanted yet so she looked at us with disgust and said…”ok? And?” We tried to continue to give Sophie’s the benefit of doubt and give it a try but she just pointed us in the direction of the cash register and bakery case telling us there were scones in the case and the special was butternut squash. There were two cinnamon roll looking things in the case and that was it. She didn’t give us or show us a coffee menu or any other kind of menu so we just left due to the attitude and unprofessionalism. Nice looking place but that’s about all that was positive about visiting Sophie’s.
