Excellent place. Soft tofu soup affordable and tasty. Poached ginger young chicken very homey and comforting but not for everyone. Reminds me of my youth but perhaps a bit on the plain side for American tastes. Sides are modest but the place is more low keyed. Sure better places but you pay for that…..at least out of the ones I’ve tried in fort Lee, there are many.

I was en route home back to Boston from the Princeton University area in New Jersey and had a craving for Korean food. Chose this location as it was less than a 5 minute detour from my journey. It was in reality really really convenient being so close to NYC and got off before I had to sit in the dreaded George Washington Bridge traffic. There was limited parking at the restaurant itself but found a public parking lot, 1/4 block away, for under $2.

I’ve been here twice. It’s BYOB so bring your own ice cold beer. Soft tofu soup might be an acquired taste for westerners, but I loved it from the first try! Mushroom is my favorite. It’s very spicy and temperature wise, extremely hot. And you can order BBQ beef on the side, which is delicious. This is Korean food, full stop. Great on a cold winter day!

Flavor of food is standard, service can be slow and the outdoor seating is quite cold, though optional. The pricing is a little high for what it is and portions are small. Complimentary hot tea beverage and nice service was appreciated.

The place is always packed but the service is always accommodating. The quality of the food is great Everytime we go. Our usual is the Korean BBQ and an assortment of tofu soups. The atmosphere is welcoming and the BYOB is great when eating with my best friends 🙂
