My husband and I dined here this evening. The food was delicious and the service was good and friendly. I gave this place 4 stars because we were confused with the bill. The website advised there would be an 18 percent service fee included with the final bill, which I understood to be gratuity and was expecting when we received the bill. – Not a problem- However, I was not expecting to pay another gratuity on top of that. The server explained to us that the service fee is not her gratuity. Since we had to check out at the table I gave another 20 percent gratuity. So what was the service fee for??? If she had said we can tip on top of the service fee, I would have given her an extra tip, but because she stated the service fee was not her gratuity, I felt obligated to give her a 20 percent tip. I definitely don’t mind tipping servers, because I understand that’s how they make their money, but the service fee I don’t understand. Overall the experience was good and I would definitely recommend Smith And Webster. We would go back again. The only issue my husband had besides the service charge was his sides were not a large enough portion. He had the turkey wing with collards on the side. He really loved the collards and would have liked more.

First time..staff gave EXTRA customer service. Appetizers were great..food was good. Drinks were questionable. At least Alex did try to make our drink experience better than what we experienced. Can we change the black-eyed peas to something else with that turkey wing..like a lil sweet potato…

Everyone in our party of 6 enjoyed their food and raved about their food. I had some of the best mashed potatoes ever and the Mac and cheese and greens were bomb too. Sides and appetizers seemed to be the highlights of the meal. Everything was well seasoned, hot, and fresh. The service was good. I would come back to try brunch.

I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The service greatly improved from earlier visits so I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was black excellence and I greatly enjoyed the music and positive energy. Definitely give kudos to the chef as all of the food was amazing. The oxtail lasagna and pork chop was amazing. Nicely seasoned and nice portion sizes. I also had the chicken wings which had a ranch bacon sauce that was amazing!

Food was amazing and so was the vibe!! I had the chicken sliders, Mac n cheese and a biscuit and all were 5 star!! Jelecia our server and Jason the manager were very personable and gave great recommendations for the food and drinks. We enjoyed the food, the service and the 90’s r&b music!! It was a great vibe for our mommy weekend. We would highly recommend Smith X Webster and will be back the next time we’re in Miami!

Smith and Webster was a whole vibe. The restaurant was classy and played 90’s R&B. Our server Jelecia was phenomenal! She was attentive to our needs and had a great personality. She felt like one of the homegirls! The manager Jason was also very attentive to our needs and checked in often. The food was delicious. Everything was hot and full of flavor. I would definitely recommend Smith and Webster to anyone.

Where do I start, The customer service is exceptional. Given the bar was able to serve drinks immediately and who’s not to like a friendly bartender! The food was also on point, super flavorful and seasons to perfection ! It’s only also fair that I mention there’s an 18% service charge added to the bill (apparently it’s 50/50 house and staff) and a $5 mandatory valet parking fee.

Dinner was absolutely amazing. Thank you The Hungry Black Man for the southern hospitality and great service. He’s not just a restaurant owner he actually was putting in work from the kitchen to the dining room serving. I told him I didn’t like black eye peas but he bought me an order to my table and changed my prescription. I love a restaurant that takes care of you from start to finish. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hands down one of the best/my favorite restaurants in Miami!!! It was my first visit celebrating my birthday but they did not disappoint. Great vibes, food, staff, overall atmosphere! Let’s not forget drinks and music 10/10 Our beautiful hostess Cindy was awesome and super sweet along with all the other staff members. I really enjoyed everything and will definitely be back! 10/10 experience! The staff was very nice!! No one had a bad attitude at all, which is rare when dining at black-owned restaurants. The ambiance was good. Bathroom is decorated great for photo moments. I didn’t drink alcohol but the drinks were very pretty and instagrammable. Parking was valet for $5. They were nice as well. And the best part of all was the food. The food was phenomenal! The collards greens were very good. The fried chicken was tasty crispy and juicy. The mac n cheese was a big hit! And the sweet potato soufflé was smooth and delicious. The sweet tea was perfect. I will definitely be back!
