Slice Shabu restaurant in Huntington Beach is a good choice for shabu dining. The flavor options are excellent, the food is fresh, the meat, seafood, chicken, and vegetable options are sufficient, sauces and spice levels are perfection! I do wish you could try more than just 2 sauces, and under most categories as you build your meal; if you choose certain options, you are charged more for certain items. You can easily pay $40 for a shabu bowl, too much, in my opinion. Slice is definitely more expensive than even the all-you-can eat choices in the area. It was a solid meal for this evening, however, I’m not sure if this would be our first choice for Shabu next time, just based on price.

I came here with my bf. The waiter suggested ordering 12 lbs for 2 ppl and it was actually enough for two people. I ordered pork bone soup with vermicelli and ponzu sauce. My bf ordered miso with udon. Compare with other places soup here is very clean without much grease. I rate the soup in this hot pot place as healthier than in other hot pot places that I experienced. 2 people with an appetizer about $100 including tip.

my daughter and I really enjoyed the whole dining experience. Lovely outdoor dining and attentive service with delicious shabu. we both ordered combo A. There was a large assortment of proteins, vegetables and noodles. The broths ad sauces are super flavorful. We left full and happy.

I went here today with my girlfriend and we were expecting a long line because of the weather and the time (we checked in at 12:00PM but it was pretty emptied as they were getting ready for a big party.) It’s been a year since we’ve been back but this restaurant did not disappoint!! I ordered the 6oz. Wagyu Short Ribs and she ordered the 4oz. Lamb. We were both full and content in the end!

Definitely cold, soup weather, shabu was perfect! It’s not AYCE, 4 step process, decide on protein or combo 2 items, broth (reg or miso, no extra charge, everything else costed extra), sauce – limit of 2 sauces!! Silly, anything else/more extra, and base of noodles/rice/half &half. Enough protein, soup, etc.. knocked it down a bit for extra sauce charge… for 2 people, you’d share the broth pot. Otherwise, great meal, place was quiet on Sat 4pm, so was good.

Solid shabu place with quality meats. The short rib was particularly flavorful. Not the most affordable of shabu for the portion size, but definitely one of the tastiest. The spicy garlic sauce is bomb! And I love that they give you a ton of thinly sliced green onions! They have unlimited veggie refills. Service to the outdoor space could’ve been better though. But a good restaurant all around!

The place was super spacious. All of the staff was nice and helpful. The restaurant offered quality meat that I enjoyed. Will come back to try more broth than pork bone and sukiyaki. Great udon to eat with the shabu ❤

Great outdoor dining experience with barriers in place between tables to social distance. Quality is meat was excellent. Broth was rich and decadent. The dipping sauces complimented the food really well. I usually don’t eat veggies but these were fresh and enjoyable with the broth. I got the udon with my Combo A. I would get the ramen instead next time.

The food was absolutely fabulous! The service was a little slow and disjointed. Server didn’t seem to understand we wanted our appetizer first before ordering our main. Bar was slow with the drinks too but the food and overall experience was good. Would go again.
