This is on my shortlist of great go-to neighborhood joints—it’s just plain good! It’s always clean and offers friendly efficient service. I used to like the classic Tonkatsu pork-based broth with is rich and creamy. Lately I much prefer the thinner simpler Shoyu chicken-based broth. I like the pork as my protein which is one large thick piece much less fatty than most other places. I hold the egg as I hate them… but I substitute the bamboo shoots for bean sprouts making it more like a classic Ramen with a chicken broth. They include a nice fresh piece of seaweed and a generous portion of spinach. The noodles are always plentiful cooked perfectly. The soup comes to the table hot and and while it’s hard to finish—you probably will! I’ve ordered the Gyoza—good but not needed. There’s a nice simple patio seating area that overlooks the busy courtyard that I suggest. I like to start at KazuNori 3 doors down for 2-3 hand rolls and then on to Silverlake Ramen for soup. There’s a lot of Ramen joints to choose from… I find this one the most consistent, cleanest and tastiest!

Yummy ramen flavors, great presentation, quick service too! The portion of chashu was very generous and the flavor was exceptional – crispy sear on one side and soft on the other. The garlicky flavor was yuuuumy. Really enjoyed the starters too, part of the dinner special. The sauce on the broccolini was exceptional. My only note would be I wish the soup was hotter! I like my soups boiling hot ☺️

The best broccoli I have ever had so we even ordered seconds! Everything was tasty! Our food came out really quickly. Anna and the girl with the curly hair ( I didnt catch her name) were really attentive and friendly, they went above and beyond making our meal fantastic. Would def recommend.

Flavorful, savory, fresh products, and hearty but not sticky noodles make for an exceptional late night dining treat. Went after a nearby concert. The Ramen was hearty and not sticky or gluey like some ramens I’ve had. The veggies were fresh and crisp and the miso had an almost creamy like texture. To top it off, the vibe at the Chapman Market has an almost intoxicating energy. Highly recommended.

Visited Silverlake Ramen today and was deeply disappointed. Many basic ingredients for a classic ramen were unavailable, and most of the additional toppings were also out of stock. The drink situation was just as bad, with a limited selection that was not only scarce but also lacked in taste. When I inquired if I could at least have grounded chicken (which they use for their bowls), the waitress flatly refused without even considering checking with the kitchen or the chef. With so many other excellent ramen restaurants in LA, I expected better. A truly underwhelming experience. The last time I’ll be eating at this ramen shop when in California!

It was just average and normal. It doesn’t mean bad but it was normal? standard? average? ramen.

The food is fantastic, we ordered the spicy pork ramen, gyoza, karage, and chicken bun. There were lot of lime flavors. The broth is supposedly cooked for 16 hours! Definitely try the ghost pepper kimchi steam bun . Great flavor, but definitely spicy. Probably the best potstickers I’ve ever had. Our servers Anna and Isaiah were attentitive and personable and made sure we were taken care of!
