It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Coastal vacationers demanded that Shrimp Basket expand to provide this incredible seafood value to those unable to be at the beach year round. Today, we’re happy to offer locations across the Southeast for family and friends to feel a part of the beach, dine and enjoy delicious seafood! At the Shrimp Basket, our goal is to make sure that you – our friends – leave happy and satisfied after every visit.

Shrimp Basket – Ocean Springs Social Media Meetup Event was delightful. Our waitress, Pat and the manager, Lori were very courteous, welcoming, knowledgeable of menu, and provided outstanding customer service! I got the Crab Boil for One with a Bloody Mary and they were well-seasoned and for dessert, Funnel Cake Fries ; overall DELICIOUS! Highly Recommended!

A little pricey for the portions that were received, table was “sticky” in the middle and probably could have used a better cleaning. Food was tasty and the coleslaw stood out. Lots of fries to make up for the small portion of chicken and shrimp received. Server did her job, but I could tell she didn’t want to be there. Overall, I will give them three stars. The food is not bad, just don’t go hungry.

I had the Shrimp and Grits, my wife had the crab cake burger. Very unique flavor, it had a New Orleans BBQ butter sauce on it…yeah let that sink in. So good. It’s my new go to when I stop by the Shrimp Basket.

Mrs.Pat was awesome, food was great I tried chargrilled oysters and seafood gumbo and it was soooo good. The atmosphere is very welcoming if you in the area you definitely have to go check them out 10/10

Omgosh. I was pleased with the service and the attention from the manager, Chris, and the freshness of the food! I can’t remember if I got the seafood basket or something else. But it came out sooo fast and everything was hot and fresh. The cooks were ON IT! I’ll definitely return to this establishment!

Thos place was great. We sat outside with our dogs, and they brought us water for them without asking. Then the waitstaff was very fast and attentive. Then the food. This was some of the best seafood I have had in quite sometime. I had fried seafood. The batter was light and crispy. The seasoning was on point as well. All in all, a really nice place. We will be back in our next visit to the area.

This place is fantastic. The entire staff was super friendly and accommodating. While we were waiting, a lost dog came and greeted us and the owner of the place was more than happy to let us chill with the dog while we ate. The dog actually belonged to a homeless person and nobody wanted to see them separated so the owner graciously called animal control (that is very familiar with the guy) to come and reunite them. Ke’ahjah is fantastic and took excellent care of us. Great food, great people, great atmosphere! When we come back to town this will be a regular stopping point.
