Burgundy House is a breakfast/lunch style restaurant very similar to Golden Nugget Pancake House. We were in search for a brunch/lunch place but all the places closed at 3 and we were cutting real close to closing time. We decided on this place.

We were in the area and Googled where to eat. My 15 year old and I found Burgundy restaurant and it is fabulous! Tony the cook and Sabrina the waitress are superb at their jobs! The chicken tenders are homemade not frozen and the Greek chicken breast comes with soup, salad and a side for 14.99, it was delicious! We will be back!!

The place is an old school gem! Goid street parking. Great diner food with reasonable prices. The staff is gold! Cannot say enough good things! The cream of chicken and rice soup with bread and butter is like a hug from Nana…warm and comforting. Love in a bowl! Our food arrived hot and fresh without a long wait. I had a gyros skillet with toast. My Beloved had a gyros omelet. Yum! We will be back Lord willing.

The Burgundy has been a long-time staple of good local Chicago food. Its mix of family dining room and diner styles is something you can’t find in many other places and is a great throwback with authentic and friendly staff. The chef has been there since I was a kid and even came out to say hello to me and my family. I told him about loving the liver and onions meal I ordered when I was younger and when I ordered it again, 20 years later, it was even better than my nostalgic memory of it!

EXACTLY the hole in the wall I was looking for!!!! My son and I needed breakfast, at a greasy spoon/ diner/ regular ‘ol/ casual spot and ran into Burgundy Restaurant. I noticed a sign hanging outside and immediately knew I was in the right spot. The waitresses were so polite, the food was on point. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

I work right down the street from this place and I love going there to meet clients and vendors. The waitresses have been there for years and the service is quick. They have a ton of pictures of families that eat there and the staff is very friendly. I go for breakfast and usually have the bacon & eggs which are great. Only downfall I would say is the parking. You have to park on the street and it’s paid parking.

Love helping out family owned restaurants! The cream of chicken with rice soup, the BLT and patti melts were delicious! Friendly staff too! They have a large variety of menu items to pick from. I’d recommend!
