We love Shogun. The food is always amazing with the hibachi chef; and, they are always super friendly. We usually go at lunch time and the prices are so much cheaper. We have a family of 4 and lunch is usually 50 to 60 dollars, including the 18% gratuity they automatically add to your check. Our dinner was more than double from lunch for the exact same thing. The server we had on this trip was not the best. She was very scattered in everything she did.we would ask for something and she would go to get it and then a few minutes later she would come back and not have it and walk to another family and they would ask for something and she would come back with theirs and I would have to ask again for what we needed. She would also lean and reach across our plates to grab dirty dishes, or drink cups to refill instead of letting us hand her our cups or asking if we wanted a refill. Our dirty dishes were placed in an area where she could reach without leaning over us. I don’t know about you; but, I don’t want someone’s hands arms or body in my face or over my food while I’m eating. Since they automatically add the 18% gratuity, I had no way to not leave a tip or leave less of a tip for her with all these problems. We have eaten here many times and not had this kind of issue before. Plus, it was my daughters birthday and we were there to celebrate not to be irritated the entire meal. We were very disappointed.

This was the best chef we have ever had! Great show and good food! The pomegranate martini was the only disappointment. It tasted like lime and very little pomegranate. My daughter forgot her purse and the manager was nice enough to bring it out to the parking lot before we left. Great customer service!

The food was great but great food never makes a restaurant. The customer service was phenomenal. I had shown up with my family to celebrate my birthday (my first time at this restaurant) and lone behold their was another Virgo celebrating her birthday today as well. It was fun, comical. The man doing the grill played games and always kept out attention. I definitely enjoyed myself and would put this restaurant on the favorites list. My steak was juicy. The sushi was made to perfect and I learned how to use chopsticks. It is worth the money for the quality of food and service.

My first time here and will not be going back. The waitress was great but from the moment we got there, we could tell how it would turn out. I had reservation but we still waited almost 30 minutes to get seated. It took another 45 minutes before we could eat. The chef was rude to say the least. The bill had 18% gratuity added and still wanted a tip. I am not going back and would not recommend

Order an app and never got it. Asked the waitress about it, she later came back saying they don’t have it like if u don’t have at all, then notify beforehand. Grill cook is good. Sushi is good. Service isn’t that great, I would not come back. Also, the automatic added 18% gratuity is bs. Service isn’t great, it doesn’t deserve my tip

This was the place to go for many years and was outstanding. Now, the restaurant has gone into decline in all areas. 1st, the place has become dirty and shows the lack of maintenance and cleaning. 2nd, the food is no longer enjoyable, overcooked, and not very flavorful. The grill cook barely knows what he is doing. You have better luck getting an enjoyable meal from a Chinese takeout. 3rd, you are forced into an 18% tip from the gitgo. In my opinion and experience here. It has led to a serious lack of service provided. With our table full of dirty dushes and empty drunks, our waitress visited our table 1 time after sitting at us and taking the order, and that was to bring the check. Once they have a guaranteed payday, there is no incentive to provide quality service. Obviously we should have paid attention more, we went to a similar restaurant less than a mile and across from the mall, ther was a 45 min wait to be seated and we were short on time so we went to Shogun. Shogun was literally empty, and we had to wait for others to show up for them to fire up the grill. It’s sad to see a place that was top notch to go downhill. My advice is to visit the Hibachi restaurant a mile down the road right across from the mall. After more than 15 years visiting Shogun, we will NEVER visit again, we will happily wait 45 min for a table elsewhere.
