If anyone has redefined contemporary street food in San Francisco, it’s longtime pals Evan Kidera and Gil Payumo’s Señor Sisig. With their special twist on a Filipino happy hour dish sisig, Señor Sisig took the portability of their favorite Mexican taqueria dishes and melded the two together to reflect their diverse palette and down-home appeal.

Love the new, airy restaurant in downtown Oakland. Way more offerings than the old takeout window. Convenient for those of us that work in the area. The burritos are the same, delicious quality as the trucks. Will definitely return.

The first time at any Señor Sisig! We met up at their new downtown Oakland brick and mortar and shared a lechon kiwali plato – dine-in only! That pork belly was very crisp and delicious and the accompanying sisig bbq sauce gave a nice herbal and citrus complement to the tacos we made from it. The creamy habanero sauce was too hot for my friend, but I treated it basically like an extra spicy nacho cheese sauce. The guava iced tea was super refreshing as well.

The brick and mortar stores offer a wider range of food options and a bar. Great drinks and amazing food. Cali burrito is fire! If you like Filipino and Mexican it’s a match made in heaven.

This place has fully loaded and savory grub. Portions are ginormous. My friend is all about the California burrito I opted for the crunch-a-dilla and I’m glad I did. Price is a bit steep at $20, but consider its so huge that you have to consider 2 meals. I ordered pork. The plate was both intimidating (huge) and delicious, it a hybrid – both part taco and quesadilla, stuffed with all sorts of toppings and the tasty pork filling. Comes with a cheese topping that I drizzled on every bite. I would highly recommend exploring their creative menu.

This new location is awesome! Great food, cocktails, and beer selection. Love the open air concept and the fact that I can catch a game here will definitely have me coming back again and again.

It was filling and fast. I needed lunch in a snap, and it took five minutes to wrap up. The staff was really nice. That said, the flavor was lacking. Adobo is supposed to be really flavorful, but I didn’t taste that at all. And it felt like mostly rice. I ordered an egg inside, and I didn’t taste it until I was basically at the end of the burrito when I was already full. I chose the wrong side to start at. I was impressed to see that they had vegan options though.

Really good chicken sisig fries, although they are priced on the expensive side. Good vibes and local representation with the murals in this place though.

I enjoyed eating here for the first time. They had the finals on TV in the bar area which made sitting in the open bay more enjoyable. This will be a cool site for the neighborhood locals to hang out & chill. Did not sample much of the menu but it looks satisfying. I’ll stop by again to try more

I was recommended the senor sisig burrito (rice) with pork. I also got the ube horchata in 16oz. The burrito was very good and the vinegar-like sauce went well with it; despite having tomatoes and lettuce the acidity of it did brighten up the burrito. I asked the nice lady behind the counter what made the horchata purple, but she couldn’t explain what the “Filipino jam” was made from. The horchata was good but the “best buy” date was the day after my order. Quite impressed by this place
