I was pleased to be able to order Blackened Cold water cod, with a salad and Broccoli. The cod was grilled to perfection and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. Was nice to be in a seafood restaurant offering something besides fries and coleslaw at a reasonable price. I will go back there again. The waitress was friendly and very pretty and personable.

I went here last week. Chowder was not hot, my fried chicken dinner was not very appetizing on the plate. Chicken was baked then breaded and fried which made it stringy and dry. The server was not the best refilled our drinks when we were leaving. It was not what i was expecting and expensive to boot.

I am a Pescatalian. With the exception of my frequent consumption of fish I am for all intents and purposes a vegetarian however, for the sake of accuracy I am a pescatalian. Having said that, any restaurant that prepares an assortment of fish that comprises of more than Tilapia and / or Salmon is cause for excitement. I recently moved from Tampa to Ruskin Fl and the first order of business was to locate a seafood establishment that is in my immediate vicinity. My favorite spot in Tampa set the bar pretty high in terms of variety. While the Blue Sea Fish market doesn’t score high marks on premium location, elegant decor, or decadent cuisine it more than makes up for what it lacks in variety and portions at wallet friendly prices. I don’t have many other places to compare to in the event you were wondering why I mentioned Blue Sea In a Seafood Dive review. Right, back to Sea food Dive. As I said previously I am rather new to the area after having recently moved to Ruskin, there may be other note worthy Sea food establishments I am unaware of. I happened to notice Sea Food Dive while driving through Sun City Center on the way to Home Depot to pick up some items for the new home. Later that evening at dinner time I decided I’d satiate my appetite for my favorite dish. I really don’t have a lot say about the environment or the decor for several reasons first of all I was too hungry to pay any attention to much of any thing else beyond my desire to devour the catch of the day. Secondly, it was dark and rainy. Lastly, I decided on take-out as opposed to dining in, it is difficult to experience much of the atmosphere while awaiting your to-go order from a bar stool. Nevertheless, of what little I recall the Sea Food Dive did have a rustic maritime appeal (which most Sea Food restaurants try to emulate). I was pleasantly surprised with the menu selections, many of the listed items consisted of the best of the northeast (I’m a native Bostonian) and the southeast. I settled on the fried Mahi-Mahi with a side of steamed broccoli. The fish was prepared to perfection not to mention delicious; however, the portion was less than encouraging. Needless to say I’ve had better. Once again Blue Sea Fish market raises the bar pretty high relative to portion sizes. Over all the experience was good, in addition to prompt and friendly service the menu was bountiful enough to warrant a return visit.
