This place has great seafood. We had the crab balls-loaded with crab, not filler balls like some places. The fried oysters -EXCELLENT!! Porkrinds as a side yummy! We wish the Sandbar Grill was closer than 4 hrs- we would be here all the time. Looking forward to our next trip to VA, it’s on our stop list. Need to try the bbq. They were smoking the day we left, and it was smelling great.

About average bar food, okay service, decent prices, some eye-catching things on the menu but generally I can almost call the food low-quality – just nothing spectacular! Would come again if I wasn’t paying or if I couldn’t come up with any other place that serves similar hearty American bar food, but I’m not sure that’ll happen anytime soon. Experience was fine, no complaints, just nothing to be praised. Cannot speak to the arcade and bar section, which was packed and loud and is exclusive to individuals over 21, but I didn’t want to go in anyway. Max and cheese is made with milk and American cheese (as informed by the chef), and is good, but the fact that it is American cheese alone turns me off a bit. Chorizo chuck burger is fun but somehow too meaty, and doesn’t have enough toppings. The Reuben was alright but no two bites were the same, there should’ve been more jalapeños, and more meat, and I really just wanted it to be a little more hearty and savory. Fries were awesome, salted very well and nice texture. The pink lemonade was not as bad as I remember it usually being. Bathroom was acceptable, although when I got paper towels out of the thingie, I ended up getting a whole big bunch cause it was a little clogged. Waitress hardly checked on us, and wasn’t very attentive, but that wasn’t much of a problem, she was kind and helpful. Bouncer is very large, doesn’t let people bring backpacks inside, and not particularly friendly (although not mean, just not sociable). I think that sums it all up pretty well.

I ordered the crab balls and hush puppies. It was my first time eating here. When I got home, I noticed immediately that my food was overcooked. Unfortunately, I could not report this as soon as it happened due to a family emergency. I called today to try and resolve the issue. I wanted to place another order but wanted to make sure the same thing was not going to happen. A manager named Mark answered the phone and was EXTREMELY RUDE AND NASTY TO ME AND HUNG UP IN MY EAR. I called back and he once again started screaming saying it was nothing he could do and disconnected the call before I could say anything. I will NEVER come to this establishment again just solely based on the disrespect from MARK. Do better!!!

Inside of Midtown Eats FYI – good food fast service to go! Had the rueben with sour kraut and it was delicious. My partner had fries with his side but they were soggy otherwise everything was good.

The food here is delicious. I always get the blacked tuna sandwich, cooked medium, and it always comes out the right temperature. They’re my top 5 places for blackened tuna. Their housemade chips are also good. I’ve also tried the crab balls, wings, and chicken cheesesteak which were delicious. The bar (which is separate from the restaurant) has cheap, stiff drinks. A TouchTunes to play whatever music you like, darts, pool, Queen machines, electronic trivia games, and electronic poker. The only downside is that they allow smoking and you will walk out of there smelling like an ashtray.

This is a great little place with a huge punch. The menu offers a wide variety of comfort foods. Not much of a looker but dont let that fool you. The fish and chips are excellently done with a light, yet hearty batter and a mountain of hand cut fries. The crab patty po boy is the size of a 1/2 pound burger. Tender, juicy and flavorful. The chicken salad is a mountain of fresh salad mix that is big enough for two. All for more than reasonable pricing. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This was a pleasant surprise to say the least. I look forward to a return trip.
