We went to Sakana after a wedding rehearsal. It came with high recommendations from sushi lovers after the place we had originally chosen closest to the venue couldn’t accomodate our party. We didn’t have reservations, but did call ahead, and they appreciated that.

This is it. The BEST sushi in Boise! Everything is so fresh and delicious. We went once and were hooked, that same week we went three times for dinner and each time it was perfect! The service is also great, food is quick and drinks are always filled. Get an appetizer and a dessert too! Andddd maybe a sake bomb!

I have been here many times and every experience is a great one. They have a secret menu that you can ask your server about. This really is some of the best sushi in Boise and my husband and I use this place as a regular date spot. This is also by far the best Sakana location. Their miso is also delicious.

When I visited Boise I actually ordered from here 3 times because it was so good! The second visit it was a bit busy and the new young gal got our order wrong, but it was still good, and we went back again to get what I had the first night. The owner and servers were all very kind. They were out of some things, but had plenty to offer and everything was cooked to perfection! I am absolutely looking forward to visiting anytime I am in the area! The pics don’t give the food the credit it’s due, the lighting was off for the pictures.

The wasabi is fresh and good. The scallop and salmon are soft and taste awesome. In my sashimi dis, one of a set is the cooked, however the one taste with much umami . The steak is roasted with perfect crust combined with good sauce. It’s a quite good place
