We recently called ahead and made plans to go to Sahara for our anniversary. It is a 1 1/2 hour trip so we wanted make sure they would be open on a Monday (the food is well worth the drive). When we arrived they were closed due to an unforeseen issue that required maintenance. I was so sad, but asked if they had some hummus that we could carry out. The gentleman and his grandfather said they did have something. They came back out with some delicious sandwiches, grape leaves, hummus, pita bread/chips, baklava, lemonade, napkins, and silverware! They wished us a very happy anniversary and well wishes for our marriage. They felt bad that they had to close and refused to take payment although we offered. We had a beautiful picnic lunch at a local metro park and it became our most memorable celebration! I have told people how amazing the food is ever since I discovered it, but wanted to share how absolutely kind they were even though they were having a rough day. Thank you so much!

Very nice meal. My husband had the lamb chops, I had the sample skewers. Both were very good, the lamb was very tender. Rice was fluffy and full of flavor. And the server, his first day on the job, was very friendly.

Everything was delious. But, three ketchup packets no utensils. My fries had no absolutly no seasoning. Who eats a salad with their fingers. Massive raw onions with seasoning, which would been great on my fries. A diet coke, with all calories from my heavy meal why would i want a diet coke. If i order salmon then yes would prefer a diet drink. Update second order i have utensils nothing to eat my hummas with great wonderful i paid $2.99 for vegs im using that to eat my hummas.

Excellent real Mediterranean food. I had the mixed Kabob platter. The garlic sauce that comes with it is excellent. It also comes with sliced carrots cucumber and a pepperoncini. Which is a nice touch. Would highly recommend. Very nice atmosphere and great service.

My husband and I were traveling and stopped at this gem of a restaurant tonight. We ordered the chicken shawarma and falafel, we were also given some filled grape leaves and hummus. All of the food was fantastic, but the hummus was particularly amazing. This is a true family-run restaurant, and the family was very friendly. We will definitely be stopping if we ever pass through this area again.
