Visited Royal Chicken in Duncanville last Sat. with my son. We ordered an 8 piece legs and thighs, 3pc fish fillets, and chicken salad. I also got the lemon tea. The owner personally came out and greeted and shook hands with all customers before leaving.

I had one of the BEST experiences at this establishment! It was affordable, the staff were Friendly and they knew the menu. My food was so good and fresh! If I could give 10 stars I definitely would!! I ordered a 4pc wing and okra (they showed so much love with that chicken and seasoning… LAWDD) and a chicken and shrimp salad that was out of this world! The peach tea was nothing short of amazing! I was skeptical at first being that I am from out of state but mannnn I was SLEEP lol! I will definitely be back and I done already spread the word! Didn’t get names of course but to the nice Man and the nice Lady at the front who even went the extra mile to bring my food outside, THANK YOU!!… KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK!! Y’all did that!!

I love this place but when you order 4 pieces of chicken and wait a hour for your food it really makes people not want to come back . I have called in my order and yet it still takes them over 45 minutes to get me my food . Love this place but an hour for chicken seems a little extreme

First time trying this place (sept ’21)The fried chicken is pretty good here. I ordered it lightly seasoned, and I was able to taste the seasoning plenty fine. This would be the second best chicken place I’ve tried in Texas so far since moving here. It has a home cast iron skillet feel to it. The okra was good as well with a light and crispy batter. I would venture back at a later time to give the catfish, or some other items a try.

On a normal day it’s been great. Tried to call in an order today at 8. They said no phone orders because they close at 9. I asked if I came in to place the order before 830 would they take it. They say yes. I drove across town and arrived at 8:25. Same person that answered the phone said we’re not taking no more orders. I told her that I called before I drove way over here. She said it’s up to the cook and the cook said no more orders. Why you didn’t ask the cook before I drove way over here!!! Trying to support our own though. Not any more.

Locally owned. Good chicken and their specials are a good value. Better to order ahead, they’ll say 25 to 40 minutes during their busiest times, go with the higher number. They serve their family meals with rolls, jalapeños and pickles. They don’t have tables, only a bar and barstools on the walls of the restaurant; I’ve never seen people eating inside, most people do take-out.
