Wow! What a great experience at Cracker Barrel. Chloe was so friendly finding me an acceptable seat, smiled and was so friendly. Haleigh was my server, and she was perfect! Very nice and appreciate her smiling and showing she enjoys her job. I appreciate that all employees were busy and working, nobody was on their phones or distracted. Very first class experience. My steak was very good, and the sides were amazing! Very positive experience!

Good comfort food & family atmosphere. Love the fireplace! Breakfast available all day but sometimes later in the day the pancakes and french toast have a bit of taste of other (non-breakfast) foods (such as chicken, beef, onions, peppers), as though the grill wasn’t thoroughly cleaned or the food was grilled beside other foods and the flavors mingled a bit. Never had that problem at breakfast time though. Service is generally good. Friendly. Efficient. They’ll bring you boxes for taking home leftovers but whether or not they bring you a bag to carry it or offer you a drink to go is very hit or miss. The store side is a bit crowded but there’s a wide variety of items offered. Racks/shelves are always stocked well. The only real problem encountered is lack of wheelchair accessibility. There is wheelchair accessible parking available but a wheelchair user cannot get into the restaurant or the restrooms unassisted. There are enough people coming and going that there’s nearly always a kind person to hold the door for you but a restaurant chain of this size, that has matching buildings across the entire country, really ought to be fully accessible (and could be with the simple installation of a few push button door openers.)

Always pleased with Cracker Barrel the service was a 20 my waitress was very accommodating. She came with a smile gave us superb service. This restaurant made us feel like home. I had the pancakes and they were like the ones my Momma made us on Sunday morning before church. My daughter had the steak with gravy she was very pleased. Had biscuits to take home. Their Gift shop is amazing they have unusual gifts to take for a friend or yourself for the holidays. I purchased a beautiful ring and pendant for myself. I also got a gag gift for my daughter a gigantic candy bar which gave her the biggest smile. I enjoy eating here and and looking at all the vintage pictures, tools and items you grew up with as a child.

Overall our experience was good! Our waitress was attentive, smiling and doing a wonderful job the entire time! The timing of the food was totally off! After waiting 20 plus minutes, our biscuits came just before the meal, I had ordered hush puppies! They never came out at all! I ordered the grilled shrimp to go with my salmon dinner! We were told they would come out shortly after the main meal! My husband received his fried shrimp about 5 minutes later but I was told my grilled shrimp had to be remade due to it being burnt! So another 5 min after I have finished my meal did they come out!

We came between breakfast & lunch .. we all had different food selections …. 1 person enjoyed their cheeseburger .. delicious & plenty big enough. .. others had breakfast foods … missing more of the previous breakfast meals .. like Egg Benedict & the senior’s breakfast meals ( small portion worked perfect for the ones who’s appetites has gotten smaller ) those meals were excellent.. delicious & satisfying … The gift shop has always been like a exclusive department store .. we all found lots of choices for everyone in the family .. Did also notice many of our favorites have changed packaging .. for example .. the fried apples used to be in a large jar .. now they only have a small can ..
All in all we enjoyed our visit & meal will return ..

We decided to stop here on our way home from West Virginia. We were all very hungry and we love the offers of Cracker Barrel. We arrived expecting a wait time, we were pleasantly surprised there wasn’t any. We were seated almost immediately upon entering a rarity for most locations. The lady who seated us was very nice and had just returned from maternity leave (congratulations ) once we were seated we were enthusiastically greeted by our very nice server Taylor. She was extremely patient as people in our group decided on drinks, food and choosing their options of sides.

Two of our group had never been to Cracker Barrel so we tried to give them good recommendations. They decided on steak against our advice, while everyone else got what this place is known for, BREAKFAST! Some enjoyed pancakes, French Toast, eggs, bacon, hash casserole, spiced apples. I got bacon and the two aforementioned sides with lunch chicken tenders with a sweet spicy kick sauce and fries (wanted to try something different from my usual) they also quickly corrected me missing one of the sides I ordered bringing it out seconds later, that was impressive!

They also offered a few $6 to-go options so I recommend to French Toast Bake to my buddy who got steak as he wanted breakfast food too (overwhelmed by all the options at first because everything looks great to a first-timer) everything went smooth and Taylor was attentive and brought out dishes with the speed and accuracy of a Magician truly, food just appeared! Thank you very much for adding that much more to our special visit. No visit is complete without visiting the great store inside filled with some of the best snacks and items. You can also have a seat in a rocking chair and play checkers which we did for a bit before hitting the road again ending our trip for the weekend heading back to our side of Maryland.

Food 5 outta 5 – hot and fresh arrived quickly
Service 6 outta 5 – seated quickly and served wonderfully

Atmosphere – 5 outta 5 – lively but not too crowded and very helpful staff everything on points

Cleanliness – 5 outta 5 – plates and utensils clean as well as bathroom stalls and such.

Overall rating for this visit 5 outta 5

SupaFlyITGuy approved but I have come to expect nothing less from Cracker Barrel and they meet or exceed my expectations every time. The pricing also always puts a smile on my face value for money wise I feel spoiled here as I get a lot of food and a drink for a fraction of what I’m used to spending elsewhere often for food that is mid at best.

I have gone to Cracker Barrel for as long as I can remember and never had issues except today when I asked for a cup of coffee; as usual, with french vanilla creamer. I have never had a problem getting my creamer and have been doing so for a very long time. But today the waitress explained to me that there was a new policy and she would have to charge me for the creamer?! I asked her if she was kidding, and she explained she wasn’t and that they have implemented a .50 charge for the french vanilla creamers. I didn’t know if this was .50 a piece, .50 for all or what so I just told her how ridiculous this was and to hold my coffee it was the principle of the whole thing that had me me so mad at Cracker Barrel for even thinking to do something like this! Needless to say, when she came back the second time my husband made me get my coffee with the french vanilla creamer and just enjoy it like I usually do. And so she brings it to the table with 2 creamers and a cup full of the little half/half International Delights as well that are FREE and said just in case you need these too. When the bill came I was the first to grab it to see what she had charged me for the french vanilla creamers and there it was .50 a piece for them! The problem of this story I have to ask is this… is every restaurant going to start to nickel and dime us like this?! Yes this might be a simple thing to most people but really .50 for creamer in your coffee! What’s next 1.00 for the jelly on your biscuit? Cracker Barrel is walking on thin ice as it is why don’t they leave well enough alone. As for me it wasn’t worth going back to give them a second chance. It will be just a matter of time before you see these new policies on more than just french vanilla creamer!

Man oh man! I loved this place. Ambience, I would give it a 5 for sure, it was extremely good.
Food, I ordered the beef stew the Sunday special one and oh boy it completely blew me away. I had a feel of eating in a local restaurant, literally it was not at all like the chain. The thanksgiving turkey was also excellent. Try their winter drinks as well they r excellent. I enjoyed the visit. There was confusion in the order as there were a lot of folks around and the waiter did a mistake, it’s completely alright not a complaint.

Cracker Barrel is always a great place to eat regardless of where I’m at. The meatloaf was everything. My only suggestion would be to change the butter for the cornbread. That butter has too much sodium. I didn’t even realize it said salted butter right on the package until after I bit into my cornbread. I took one bite and thought this sure does taste like salty cornbread. Then I looked at the butter package. It just ruined my taste for the bread. Since I have hypertension, if I bite into something and the first thing I taste is the sodium, then it’s too much and should not be served in a restaurant if you care about the health of your customers.
