Waiters and waitresses were pleasant but not knowledgeable of the food. My wife had the duck which is according to the staff what Rouge is know for. The duck was so over cooked and my wife asked for more sauce in order to finish the $32 duck. I ordered the sea bass special, $34 a plate, and that was over cooked as well. The skin was more than crispy, it was almost burned. We had appetizers and tapas dishes and they were good. The cocktails were good too. For the prices though, I expect much better.

Came here for a quick late dinner. The service was friendly and prompt, our food was tasty. Loved the chicken buns. The reason I am giving this place a three star review is because the portions were very small and the prices were expensive. I am not naive to dining out by any means and understand good food and service comes at a cost, however I did feel slightly disappointed.

I’m blown away by the food at Rouge. We got a recommendation to go here, not sure what to except being from NYC (best food in the world) but we loved everything we ate. The steamed chicken buns may have been the best dish I have ever had in my entire life! The bass was cooked to perfection. Drinks were delicious… the staff was so accommodating and attentive. We ate outside and felt perfectly safe. We met the owner, Maggie, who was gracious and lovely. What an incredible meal!! We can’t wait to come back. I’d drive from NY just for the day to have this food again

What a delightful meal. This was our anniversary meal and it did not disappoint. We ordered for pickup(Crazy Covid Times). Duck Confit, Watermelon feta salad, Scallop Toast, Bistro Steak, Halibut. Everything was delicious. I have already told many people about this gem. It’s easy to get to off of 90 and the meal was so good. We’ll likely be back, hopefully to enjoy in person.

Great cocktails and a fun selection to choose from! Great service as well, very friendly waitress. The food was not what we were expecting after hearing such great things. The duck was overcooked and dry, I couldn’t finish my meal. The calamari was flavorless and tasted as if it had been frozen, thawed and then frozen again. Very bland and disappointing especially for the prices.

Nice restaurant. Our two drinks from the bar’s special menu were unique, flavorful and potent. The complimentary bread was good. Calamari was crunchy. The duck was a little too rare, acknowledging it should be rare, but still a treat. Interior decor has paintings of classic female movie stars. A separate back room just for viewing, has a large snow globe collection from all over the world. There is a separate bar section from the dining room.

Excellent little find on our way back from Ithaca NY to Portsmouth NH. We were in a rush to get home so we just ordered sandwiches. These looked and tasted like full coarse meals. My wife had the crispy trout flat bread. She loved it. My cognac sauce steak sandwich was perfect. Our waitress was friendly and attentive.

I am impressed. The food was inventive and the atmosphere was cordial. My co-diner told me that they have a new chef and that the space was redecorated. It all looked good to me and, being from Austin, I am used to good food. I would recommend 2 profiteroles, instead of one big one. Other then that… bravo!

Visited Rouge for the first time and had a great time. They were not too busy and the service was great. All members of our party of 4 enjoyed all dishes selected. We tried multiple tapas and main courses – all were delicious. Our server was very cheerful and helped with recommendations and was attentive to our needs. We live nearby and will definitely be back to try some more dishes.
