The chicken was overcooked, and the waffles were flat, almost like a pancake. The mac n cheese was nasty, and so were the greens.

Plenty of parking spaces. Seated quickly. Let’s start with the drink. I’m from Tennessee and have been disappointed with sweet tea so far in LA area. This iced sweet tea was perfect! Waffles were just enough soft with a crunch. I got the gravy on the side. Wow! Lots of flavor! The music playing was a at great level. I truly enjoyed my meal!

Food was delicious. Service was quick and the lady who waited our table was very sweet. Got the Eclipse(OJ+Lemonade+Fruit Punch) to drink and it was amazing. I love this location because there’s plenty of parking and the atmosphere is much more laid back.

Service was great, atmosphere was good, food was ready in a fair amount of time. Waffles were nice and fluffy perfect combo with the warm syrup. Sausages were good as well, sunny side up eggs were good.

It’s my first time in this soul restaurant specializing in fried chicken. The chicken is crispy and well seasoned outside and moist inside. The waffle is soft and just a tad chewy. My brother ordered fried chicken livers and found them amazing. We ordered red velvet cookies to complete the delicious meal.

its not really a tourist trap because the people who live there actually eat her. the chicken is good but not the best i ever had. however the community deeply supports this place. with that said it is a must go when in California.
