If you haven’t tried this place- you need to. We ordered the brisket, catfish, oxtail, Mac & cheese, collard greens, yams, empanadas and the food did not disappoint. Generous portion sizes, food has lots of flavor and the atmosphere is warm and upbeat. HIGHLY recommend.

If you want some home bbq cooking, this is the spot. The customer service was top notch and even Roscoe came around to say hi to people which was very nice.

When we got there we were welcomed in and the gentleman behind the counter gave us the descriptions of the dishes he had available. When contemplating which sides I should order, a nice lady looked over and with a smile said, ‘they’re all really good,” she wasn’t wrong. I ordered the braised pork shoulder, Caribbean chicken over jasmine rice, a chicken empanada, red beans, and a cornbread muffin. The other plate was Caribbean beef with bbq spicy chicken. All the dishes were super flavorful with good sized portions and we wound up needing to go containers to enjoy later. We will be back again for the delicious food and enjoyable atmosphere.

Great food, Sabrina was very helpful and knew the menu well. She provided great customer care and carefully placed our order. The atmosphere was relaxed with lots of space. Rosco even came over making sure we had a good experience! I had fish, greens , mac and cornbread with red kool-aid . Made me feel at home.

This establishment has awesome food. However since the midnight to 5:00 a.m. shenanigans has happened it has car shootings. Disturbances within the community. Three reported shootings and one death due to Roscoe’s night time parties. Many people have come into the gas station with guns claiming rights to carry firearms next thing you know people are dying. Only reason this is the after party when bars close they have a DJ food all the drugs you want in the parking lot

I loved my experience at Roscoe’s – we were greeted when we came in and the hostess was as kind as could be – saw people coming in and headed out with plates loaded with food.

Stumbled onto this gem and so glad that we did! Get the catfish – light, flavorful, not overcooked, not over-breaded. The pork ribs, yams, potato salad, and beans were also standouts. It’s a family owned business and everyone was extremely welcoming and hospitable and treated us like guests in their home. Will be back the next time I’m in Anchorage!

I wish my food would have came as the pictures that are on the internet. I ordered double meat special…was expecting a catfish fillet but got 5 little pieces of mostly breaded fish…the crumbs (left over fish) basically fried, pulled BBQ pork that had to be 1/2 a scoop with a dab of sauce on it, a better size scoop of green beans and collard greens (they were out of the dirty rice I wanted) and then a cup of okra for $4…couldn’t even fill the cup up?!?! And Campbells makes a better chicken and sausage gumbo, everything was cold except the sodas they were warm. All this for $43…a purchase I will not make again! It’s been years since I ate at Roscoes and it will be a few more years before I eat there again, if I do. This is just my opinion, maybe I just went there on a bad day. ‍♀️

This is a good place for soul food with a twist of the island. The fried cat is the catch of the day!
