My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Roost and I must say that the entire experience surpassed all my expectations. What’s not to love? This place has great ambiance, great service, great drinks and great food. We ordered the special heirloom tomatoes with fried avocado. Sooo good! Our server Jenna was amazing and recommended the field green salad, chopped with pistachios with extra dressing in the side. Also had a combination oysters with shredded horseradish. Again, so good! Main course filet with bernaise sauce and mashed potatoes and rainbow carrots.

Very nice restaurant. We all started with a round of cocktails and they were very delicious. Next we ordered a variety of seafood platters which was fresh and tasted great. My favorite thing was my entree, the filet with mashed potatoes. The dessert here was a fantastic way to wrap up your meal and I highly recommend the mini donuts.

A gem in Sparkill! A reservation is a must. I went on a Sunday for a table of 2 at 5pm and they only had one available. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was elegant.

My husband and I held our wedding reception at Roost Restaurant in September of 2020. Roost is a SPECTACULAR and classy space for small to medium sized events. Beyond the beautiful atmosphere, the service and food is outstanding! Maria, Kevin, Kate and the team at Roost took incredible care of us; our guests are still raving about the food and cocktails. Every single detail was perfect; from the cocktails, to the desserts, decorations, live music and everything in between, I give Roost my highest recommendation and 5-stars. The team at Roost Restaurant will provide best in class service and the event of your dreams.

Probably my 4th time eating at Roost. The tall waiter had a rather poor attitude from the start. When asked about the West coast Oysters ” are they like Kumomoto’s?” he said no nothing like them and walked away. I knew we were in for an interestinhg experience. We ordered an expensive bottle of wine and while clearing the appitizers, the bus person spilled a glass all over my friend and I. While he apologized, the waiter who saw this didn’t even come over to say anything. Three of us ordered meat entree’s and two arrived over cooked. After our experience we just ate them since the hassle of dealing with him wasn’t worth it. When asked if he intedned to replace the spilled wine ( never mind offering dry cleaning) he said he planned to “take care of it”.We ordered dessert and asked what he meant by take care of it and he offered us a glass of house wine. While any restaurant can overcook a steak, the level of arrogance by this servier is not ok. I get the fereling like he is family or something becasue most servers would be afraid of loosing their job behaving like him. Dinner was over $200 per couple. I think we probably won’t be returning. Too bad.
