I keep thinking this place will get better, if it’s not the extremely long wait times for the food it’s something else. The lady in the back is extremely rude when we came here yesterday. We were going to order about 10 dishes plus sides and drinks for the whole family for dinner. She tells us the guy who knows how to work the machine isn’t there and we would have to pay cash but we didn’t have enough for all 10 so we were going to grab some cash and come back in the meantime because we knew it would take a while we placed 2 orders of chicken and rice for $15 each that’s stated on the menu she tells us it’s $35 for both , we asked her where the other $5 came from she said taxes. How?? How is a $30 total come to $5 in taxes that’s over 16.5% you’re charging us in taxes and we’re paying cash and you can’t provide a receipt ??? She starts to argue with us as if we’re bothering her when we were really just trying to understand how she came up with $5 tax on this order. Imagine if we never asked and placed the remaining order for the other 8 dishes. She’s charging us an extra $2.50 per order. We left and went to a different restaurant. No thanks the food is not good enough to deal with rude people and overcharging your customers.

I was in the area for a work training and was looking for food, this was the only place with good ones and it was worth following the hunch. I got white rice and black beans with fried chicken a side salad and fried plantains. The food took about 15 mins which was a good sign. No good sitting out that had been cooked earlier. The food was fresh and made for me. The white rice was soft and fluffy and the chicken was tasty. The black beans were packed with flavor and spices. The wiener was very friendly and threw in a beef patty which was crunchy and fresh. I will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

It’s not easy finding a good Haitian restaurant in CT but this is one of them. Enjoyed my food and service with a smile.

I’ve come here a few times. I usually get the black rice, fried chicken/ goat or Turkey, a patty, pikliz and plantain. Food is always great I’m never disappointed. They’re on Uber eats I think or grub hub so if you don’t want to call in you can utilize the apps to order ahead because the food is made fresh it’s not in a buffet style or on a simmering pot and will take 20-45 minutes.

I went there today 03/03/22 and the soda I bought today was expire since 10/21. The rice tasted old like it was from the day before yesterday just reheated. But the meat was good.

This is a nice spot. My first experience the food was amazing and the service was good. The portion was large for the price. My second time ordering there, the food was cold and stale as if it was sitting there all day. I ordered fried plantains and griyo this time. I may give it another shot but maybe not try fried foods again there. There was a constant flow of traffic (which is a good sign).

Worst experience I had with Haitian food ever!!!!First off the portions are horrible. I received 6 griot pieces if that. The rice was mushy and no flavor. I asked for a Haitian patty and didn’t even get that in the bag. I would NOT recommend this place it’s a waste of money completely. If you want a good Haitian place Millahs in Bridgeport is better.
