We arrived early and started at the outdoor bar, had a few drinks nice signature drinks lychee martini and a I think it was called a lava margarita. My wife went in to check in for our reservation and I guess the ramen bar is not as popular it was empty and because they were not nice or helpful at all and didn’t even acknowledge my wife a she was trying to ask a question…. we figured out on our own that it was the next door and went over there. Great experience at Robata Jinya. Food was great, service was very good. So to sum it up outdoor bar we recommend and Robata Jinya highly recommend… Ramen bar didn’t eat there but don’t think we ever will if first impressions mean anything.

Food was good, sushi creative. Best dish was the smoked Toro. Vibe was very bougie… I prefer a more casual/ chill atmosphere. Waitstaff were friendly and attentive.

OMG, the best sushi and yakitori place on the island! The servers here are amazing, and their customer service is outstanding. They put in so much care for the guests, they really took care of me. Will definitely be coming back with few of my friends!

We came for my birthday dinner and our server Andrew was nice; He was very attentive and was knowledgeable about the menu. We got the $65 omakase option and ordered more food on the side as well. We both enjoyed the experience but the food was not as impressive as we had hoped it would be. It just didn’t feel very special for my birthday dinner and we also were not offered any sort of complimentary dessert or anything which is fine, just didn’t feel very special is all. The lychee martini was extremely cheap, as it was only $10 and that was also the cost of my fiancés sparkling water! Overall, the experience was nice, just like any other omakase experience but we just weren’t impressed by it and probably won’t be returning or recommending.

Service was very slow. And the food was not that great for the price that you pay. First off drinks took forever to after we ordered. And I ordered a non-alcoholic drink and they gave me a drink with alcohol in it. The server also did not take our order in the order we were sat either. She took the order of the table that sat last first and the one that sat first last.

Creative, beautiful dishes, but not my thing. It may be yours, but we were also put off by slow, inattentive service that too often blamed the kitchen for delays or losing track of things. Premium prices, small portions, a great place to impress a date but not to actually eat — unless you spring for the $180 omakase set. On our drive home, after spending $100 here, we still stopped at McDonald’s to finish topping up our hungry bellies. Helpful tip: Don’t get this restaurant and the Jinya Ramen Bar next door confused—you’ll be sneered at.

Vibes are super cool here. Love going to LBD (not sure what that even stands for). It’s an outdoor Japanese whiskey bar and lounge with enough coverage that you won’t get blasted by wind and rain (unless it’s storming and everything’s blowing sideways) with bottom up views of the Kakaako skyline. Music is house style at the right volume – just loud enough that you shouldn’t be whispering. The seared A5 wagyu nigiri is to die for and torched tableside. We ordered an A5 wagyu rice bowl too that comes in a hot stone bowl. Super tasty. Portions are small and pricey, but fish and meat are fresh.

They have a good selection of items to choose from. Everything we ordered was delicious including the cocktail. The star of the show had to be the A5 Wagyu with Caviar & A5 Wagyu with Uni. The sushi was delectable & the lamb was perfection. Definitely will be coming back once my wallet recovers!

The best is the price is surprisingly reasonable. Sake sampler set worked perfect with the Japanese dishes. All dishes tasted great . The service team are awesome . Too full today. Definitely will go back for the special dessert soon. the only problem is the too noisy loud music.
