My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful Saturday evening here. The Views from the dining room were fantastic as was the ambience. I can see why this is rated most romantic spot ! The food was excellent. We were very hungry so ordered 3 entrees and they were all amazing. The bread pudding was quite possibly the best I’ve ever tried. I would highly recommend !!!

LOVE-LOVE-LOVE everything about this place. We recently made a trip to New Orleans and could not wait to get back home and satisfy our étouffée craving we just couldn’t find during our Nola visit! Thank you Elizabeth and team for great food and wonderful service every single time! I tried the Eggplant Orleans last night and it was the best of everything all wrapped into one dish. Excellent food and service every single time. Dependable, consistent and delicious. Have been coming periodically for many years, and there are multiple reasons why it’s often packed. The owner Elizabeth is present and hands-on, checking on tables personally and overseeing things well. The staff is spot-on, the food is quality and well-prepared from scratch. Anything unfavorable that’s been stated in other reviews HAS to have been a one-off or unusual situation because in 12 or so years of being patrons, we’ve never had a single negative experience, nor has anyone I know, and we’ve been MANY times, both by ourselves and with friends. Trust me, just go – you’ll be very glad you did!!!

Exceptional food and service with a great view! This was our first time here and we will return.Our steak and salmon were cooked to perfection. They also have a good selection of wines to pair with your meal. If you’re looking for a more up-scale estblishment in Columbia, this is the place to go.

Average food, atmosphere was ok. We had a mom night out and wanted to book a table where we could see a river but that wasn’t possible because it was a busy Friday night. So they seated us in a corner with an older AC blowing cold air directly at us. This corner has no exterior Windows so we sinned in a tight dark room. The service was rather slower, took them 10 mins to get us drinks water. The entire restaurant smelled like smoke from cooking food not cigarettes smoke. We look through alcohol drinks and decided on Lemon drop, house red wine and my friends ordered other cocktail drinks. They said their cocktail drinks were ok so they tried Lemon drop but tasted funny. We then ordered our main course. I went with Duck A L’Orange, others had, Steak, Hurricane Shrimps and Seafood Trinity. I would start with my duck. This was cooked unevenly, half of my duck was very chewy. Not sure if they roasted this meat or baked it but duck by itself wasn’t flavorful. The sauce in the black cup is the orange dip. Not what I thought it would be. For $25 duck dish, I expected too much of this place. Side zucchini was fine. The duck sits on rice, it was very plane rice, no flavor. I meant No Flavor. Taste like they rinse the rice with water and served. Shrimp Trinity was on a salty side but my friend didn’t mind it. Hurricane shrimps are breaded and deep fried and put them on slice of French bread. Steak was huge and my friend had it in medium. She said she likes it a lot. Over all, I think the price is too high for an OK meal. Nothing was extra ordinary about the food. I’m glad they try to add variety of food here but the flavor wasn’t quite there for me. Dessert wasn’t bad at all. Except they don’t have ice cream. P.S, the creme bulee is cheesecake version.

I love supporting small business & I will be the first to praise where praise is due, but…..I had high expectations due to so many 5-star reviews, however our experience fell very short. Sadly we felt the food did not live up to the hype, & even though they weren’t crazy busy the service was slow & the kitchen seemed very disorganized. Ordered the spinach artichoke dip & crawfish egg rolls for apps. Egg rolls were fabulous & served hot like freshly prepared food should be, esp since RT boasts made-to-order food. The spinach dip was a very thick glob of spinach with a few scattered shavings of Parmesan cheese on top & served with Tostitos scoops. For a more “upscale” dining venue (as described on the website) it was very odd to see Tostitos as a part of any dish. Crostini or some sort of pita would have been more well received. The dip was also brought out barely warm. We complained about it being cold to the server who brought it to our table (not our original server) & she took it back to the kitchen & had it reheated instead of replacing it with a fresh hot dip??? Our main entrees: eggplant NOLA was just ok, best part of the dish was the eggplant which was fried to a golden crisp. Mom had the 6oz Filet with baked potato & said it was cooked well & she enjoyed it. My husband had the seafood trinity & said it was “ok”. He’s usually a member of the clean plate club esp when dining out & the meal is good, but he left half of his dish in the bowl. Our little guy had the chicken tenders & fries, but it was not delivered along with the rest of our food. After a couple minutes & it still had not arrived we flagged down the server who had brought out our food. It took another 10 mins for them to bring out his meal & it was piping hot, like burned my fingers hot. This confirmed they had forgotten it & had to prepare it. They also forgot my Mom’s side salad, she had to ask about it when they brought out our sons food. Our actual server was very pleasant & friendly but she only came by to check on us once during our main meal. We saw more of the server who ran our food to our table than our actual server. We sat with empty drinks for about 10 mins during our meal & the one time our original server came to check on us we had to point out that we were in need of refills instead of our server noticing our glasses were empty & offering to refill. Sadly, all in all it was a disappointing experience of mediocre food & a lack of attentiveness/attention from the wait staff & kitchen staff. Just expected better given that this was a $170 dinner (sans alcohol) & so many positive reviews. Gave 3 stars because my Mom enjoyed her steak & once we finally got it our sons chicken tenders & fries were good/hot/fresh. If this rating were solely based on mine & my hubby’s meal it would be 2 stars. Sorry Elizabeth, this was a miss for us.
