Food Quality
• Blackened Salmon: Perfectly seasoned with a smoky, savory crust that enhanced the natural flavor of the fish. Moist and flaky inside, it was one of the standout dishes of the night.
• Shrimp Scampi: Classic and comforting, with garlic butter sauce that was rich without being overpowering. The shrimp were tender and cooked just right.
• Lobster Tails: Sweet, succulent, and served with drawn butter, they lived up to the indulgence expected from Red Lobster’s signature offering.
• Breaded Shrimp: Crispy, golden, and satisfying, with a light breading that didn’t overwhelm the shrimp itself.
• Cheddar Bay Biscuits: Still the undisputed star of the table. Warm, fluffy, and cheesy, they remain one of the best bread rolls in casual dining.
• Salad: Fresh, crisp, and well-balanced, proving that even the simplest items were handled with care.
• Berry Sangria: Sweet, fruity, and refreshing, it paired nicely with the seafood and added a festive touch to the meal.
Drinks & Value
The sangria was delightful, but the overall bill reflected how much prices have climbed. Two people enjoying two drinks and two Ultimate Feasts came to $143. It’s noticeably more than what I remember paying in the past, but the quality of the food and the portion sizes made it feel worthwhile. Red Lobster is clearly positioning itself as a more premium casual dining option.
Service
Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Our server kept drinks filled, checked in at the right times, and ensured everything arrived promptly.
Atmosphere
Surprisingly, the restaurant was not crowded for a Saturday night. We were seated immediately, which made the evening feel relaxed and unhurried. The quieter environment allowed us to enjoy the meal without the usual bustle of weekend dining.
Overall Impression
Red Lobster in Orland Park has managed to maintain its reputation for quality seafood while elevating its execution. The food was consistently excellent, the service was solid, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Prices have gone up, but the value is still there for those seeking a satisfying seafood experience without traveling far.
Final Verdict: Exceptional food, reliable service, and a comfortable setting. While the cost may surprise longtime patrons, the quality makes it worth the splurge.
The watery chicken Alfredo definitely is their issue.
The Togo seafood boil was done well. Signed this Louisiana native.
Red Lobster is truly trying to run the bill with some boils not coming with sausage but offering that social media boiled egg (which never happened before socials and nope not judging just explaining that is not boil recipe or standard). They did well with the dip offerings and recipes plus even better with the cleaning of their crabs offered in the boil.
The service was a little slow.
We were in at around 3pm left the place around 4:45pm.
I wish I could rank them higher but they did mess up our order ( we asked for 1 thing and got something completely else). I usually wouldn’t care but they the server said they would fix it and bring us out what we ordered but they never did so we were left with the anticipation of that.
Thank you Ted lobster the food was great as always. I was a long time customer I’m 35 now get to share the experice with my child. I thank you.
It took the server a lot of time to do and/or get everything to the table. Ex: A long wait before coming to my table to take my order, waited for napkins, wipes, silverware. A fork and knife provided for an ice cream dessert; no spoon. As a result, food got cold waiting on needed things to eat. Also, the broccoli was over cooked; too soft and biscuits not covered on top with a napkin to keep them warm so they were served cold and hard.
Overall, this location can do much better. No attention to dining details. Appears to be a training issue. No thought given to how a dining experience should be. A fork for ice cream. The benchmark should be higher than placing food on a table and leaving.
