My wife and had lunch here. Kind of a rustic, authentic and unique place to eat. They’ve been located here for a very long time so the food is decent but not the best I’ve ever had. They have a health department rating of “A” posted in the window so that is always a plus. The chili Riano is good but it’s not made from a fresh chili. It’s made from a canned chili. The rice is OK. The tacos are good. I had the tacos El Pastor, which was good but I wanted more of it. The hot salsa is more of a pickled jalapeño salsa just put in the blender. when we went there, the place was fairly busy. The service was good. The price was fair and the food was decent. Just kind of an interesting place to eat because of the building. The food I would rate probably at three stars and average, but I gave them four because I liked the building and they had an “A” rating from the health department.

Stopped here on the way to a conference in Arizona, one of the few restaurants open at 7:30 in the area on a Tuesday.

First time here Came in for tacos at lunchtime. The place wasn’t busy, and we received our tacos quickly, but sat and waited for our check for a good 20 minutes. The tacos were ok. I had the chili verde, my friend had the carne asada. Both meats could have used more seasoning. The salsa could’ve been a little spicy.

I ordered as vegetarian from senior menu.. .chose the Chile relleno dinner vegetarian style ..got pinto beans before lard mixed in and asked them to leave off the pork sauce. It was tasty with salsa and hit the spot… I’d appreciate it if they would have more vegetarian or vegan options, but they do serve very traditional food, and it has always been has always been freshly made and tasty. Also liked the Jamaica (hibiscus tea).

Love this place! I was on a time crunch and they were super helpful about that. Got the taco salad which is a good little fix before the rest of the day, though nothing super special. Love the chips and salsa. Horchata is 10/10 highly recommend.

Honestly, I had higher hopes coming into this establishment since it’s been around for so long, seeing what other hace said about the restaurant, and knowing it was family owned too. I came in with my wife and in-law, and once we walked in, we weren’t greeted, and seating was very limited luckily a booth opened up as we walked in for my in-law who had a wheelchair. We waited for quite some time before we were given our complimentary chips and salsa, we had to wait after we ordered to get them, and were disappointed once we did, the chips tasted overcooked and the salsa given tasted like watered down tostitos salsa. I ordered the California burrito, 7 Carne asada “street” tacos for my wife and i to share, a side of rice & beans for my wife, and the enchilada combo plate for my in-law. Once we got the food, I immediately went for the burrito, and the meat was bland and overall a let down, i took 3 bites and couldn’t even finish it. The tacos, the same thing, just let down after let down, we ate 3 out of the 7 we ordered. The rice was ok at best, and the beans looked like they were nuked with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese on top of them. The customer service was borderline average, and I had to walk up to pay for my bill nobody came to hand it to us. While paying I disclosed that I did not enjoy the burrito. The waitress then went to the bartender who I’m to believe is the owner and after telling her the situation she shrugs and continues on her way, and upon return she marks off my burrito. I still payed almost $60!! Definitely not worth the price I paid for. I recommend to just admire the building from the outside, and go somewhere else for “authentic” mexican food. I will not be coming back, and will make sure to tell friends and family to avoid this restaurant.
