Service was fine, the waitress was prompt and friendly but the haddock just wasn’t as good as it used to be. At one point they had the best fried haddock of the five area places where we tried it, now they rated on the bottom. This batter frying technique just didn’t work for them and we thought the oil was probably old. The new menu is limited but they kept they kept most of our favorites. Would go back next time we are in that area and hope for better food next time.

Cute little diner. Wasn’t bad but got the breakfast buffet. Wasn’t refilled and tasted like it may have been sitting there for awhile. I gave it a 4 star because it was a cozy little place, full of locals, and I’m guessing if we got the breakfast made to order it would have been great. So 2 for buffet, 4 for guessing 🙂

Arrived with a party of 5 for breakfast and waited to be seated in a half empty dining room for nearly 5 minutes. Not so much as a word from anyone until someone finally got us some menus and haphazardly pointed to a table.

My wife and I have been going there for years. Great food and wonderful waitresses and waiters that treat you like family as it’s a family owned restaurant for many years. Joan is a real Sweetheart who is pretty busy in the kitchen will take the time to say hi to people when she steps in the dinning room. All around great place to go to eat. Don’t forget about dessert if you have room or maybe just get it to go .

Had the mozzarella sticks, Swiss burger with fries, and coconut crème pie for dessert. All the food was great quality and absolutely delicious. Everything is priced great for the quality that you get. The servers are incredibly sweet and will give you great service. Highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a good all-American diner!

Outstanding! Not only was the food excellent, the service was really great and the place was very clean. It was so good we went back two days in a row. Both experiences were equally fantastic. Having grown up in a restaurant I can’t help but be a bit critical of things like cleanliness and food quality, and this place was aces.

1 waitress taking food & drink orders for 15 women, serving pretty much alone & taking $ for the bills.

Food was terrible. Eggs had silver grey color on 2 fried eggs. I would not serve anyone silver metal colored eggs, so why was it okay for me to be served eggs that were clearly cooked on a surface that was not clean. I mentioned the problem to waitress and she thought it was okay. I did not eat any of the eggs and barely ate anything else. I was so angry. I would rather burn $20 then go back. The best way to describe my experience going to quacks is the place is inconsistent. If the right waitress and cook is working the place is great, but if you come on the wrong day your experience will be poor. I will not be returning. I will share my experience because it is the truth. I should have taken a picture, but I left my phone at home. So for the price of 2 eggs you lost a good customer and got negative feedback, I hope the owner cares.

We got sat down and had our trip to the buffet completed before we got the attention of the waitress. It seemed like forgot about us! They were cleaning tables when I actually had walk over and order our drinks, the food was good but I’ll never stop there again.

I am an out of towner who happenstanced on in. It was 1:30 for a 2pm close. Staff were very pleasant accommodating me and that was nice. The atmosphere was old style diner; clean and nice enough. Chairs are a bit tired. As for my order – roast beef on Italian with mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion (add french fries)… Unfortunately the sandwich was on stale bread and no tomatoes. The fries were just at an acceptable serving temp – they received a passing score. When I was asked about my meal and I shared my concern the waitress was polite and apologized, making a statement about where the bread is stored and if not in the right way/place it sometimes happens. I also paid extra for onion but did get much. I am old school. If a customer isn’t satisfied something should be offered to make it right. Coffee and desert? Discount? Nothing offered. I only ate it because I needed to eat. It was in no way worth the $15 I paid. Too bad. I am newly semi-retired and am staking our new digs for antiquing excursions. Sadly I need to cross Quacks off my list. I am sorry to have to do that but like I said – old school – it’s not necessarily when an issue occurs – it’s how one makes things right.
