Absolute best breakfast sandwich in town (The Brandon). Artsy and quaint cafe with a variety of freshly baked goods, unique pottery, and ample seating.

My husband and I ate here while in town. They have wonderful gluten and dairy free menu items and the atmosphere is like relaxing at home. We had a cozy morning looking at pottery while enjoying soup and sandwiches!! Highly recommend visiting while in Portland!!

The location of this chic place is good, although you may have to hunt for parking. The food was very tasty, but a bit overpriced. The muffins, cookies, brownies etc in the front cases looked quite tasty, but again- a bit pricey for my taste. My breakfast was quite good, although the menu mentioned rosemary potatoes as being mashed. They weren’t, but were excellent nonetheless. I liked the place, just not the prices…

It’s a very cute pottery cafe. We didn’t try the food but decaf coffee was good. They have plenty of seating inside. I liked all the pottery items. Food and dessert looked good. We will try it next time.

This place has changed. The breakfast menu has been vastly reduced in the past year or so, you can take a look at old review photos and see the difference. Very limited options now, especially if you don’t eat meat, and not the great breakfast I remembered. I had stodgy “power toast” served on tough store bought bread where neither the coconut or almond were toasted as described. Still a nice quiet place to sit down but the food is no longer worth a visit. The cakes also looked much, much smaller and more basic.

Had a great breakfast here – affordable and filling. I got the Late Riser and everything was seasoned perfectly and had so much flavor for a simple dish. The homemade raspberry jam is fantastic and not sweet. Will definitely come back!

Rustic and intriguing decor with extremely friendly owner husband and wife business. The sandwiches are tasty. We tried the Reuben and salmon sandwich , highly recommended. The desserts are also not to be missed. Chocolate mousse cake is amazing and the carrot cake is tasty with solid portions. Definitely highly recommended I’d your’re in the area.

As someone who eats gluten free, while i was eating the GF blueberry muffin i felt like i was eating something i wasn’t supposed to. It was BY FAR the BEST I have ever had and it has been a struggle for my whole life to find good food! this is the best cafe I have ever been to and the environment feels like home. Some pottery is for sale and it is truly a wonderful little place! I will be back when I am in the area!!!!

Maine is amazing! The food in portland is delicious and the pottery cafe is no exception. Had a breakfast sandwich and it was well priced and plenty big to satisfy my hunger and leave me happy and satisfied!

Stopped in Portland on a Tuesday afternoon after labor day and spotted this place when pretty much every restaurant in the bustling neighborhood was closed. Ended up having the best meal of our vacation. The food was made to order. From salmon sandwich to pasta with shisedo peppers. Everything was fresh and the simplicity of the flavors won us over. We also got a slice of salted caramel chocolate cake to share and it was delicious. Probably the best piece of chocolate cake I’ve ever had. Not super rich or sweet. And yet so moist and complex. The food was served in their handmade pottery. It was a sensory experience. This is how good food should be. Simple, unassuming and not trying too hard. A little poetic today but it was actually this good. We will definitely be back.
