It was blazing hot today with temps close to 100 so what better place to go but to Trowbridge’s? I had a chicken salad sandwich toasted on white bread. For dessert, a Banana Split. This place is very unique and is reminiscent of a much simpler time. I highly recommend this, especially in the sweltering dog days of an Alabama summer.

My grandparents used to go on dates here in the early 1950s, and now my son and I can go with his grandmother (my mom) when we visit the area. Family tradition! The ice cream and sandwiches are so simple and so perfect! Service is always kind and friendly. The pimento cheese and banana sandwiches are especially wonderful.

My wife and I visited this lil charming piece of nostalgia on a trip when we were celebrating the 40th anniversary of our 1st date. The Sat. afternoon in Feb was kinda chilly but many patrons were enjoying the goods here. They offered sandwiches and chips and so many deserts that it was so hard to choose. The place was full the whole time we were there and a few people chose takeout to get their delight. There were couples waiting for a table when we departed and the crew was working relentlessly to satisfy the desires of the customers. A very neat ice cream and more facility!
