We are a small, nano brewery with 14 taps, and a menu offering fresh prepared food including an extensive vegan, veggie, gluten free and full on carnivore plates too! We are located in the historic district in downtown Medford on the corner of Front and 6th st in the central fire hall, which was Medford’s first fire station! It is a beautiful 114 year old brick building with so much history and warmth! Come join us for a pint and a bite! Cheers!!

Portal is a wonderful, intimate spot to grab a beer. The people there are very friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed. The plant-based menu was wonderful and both our pretzel and Philly mushroom flatbread were great and flavorful. I tried the Dark Ghost and it was my first experience trying a CDA and I loved the flavor! I look forward to trying more of their beers as well as more of their menu.

Very small place and the beer was just okay. Was super dead and the bartenders seemed invested in their phones. Didn’t try the food but the entire menu is vegan which is rare to see at a brewery so give it a go if that’s up your alley.

Outstanding! I can’t wait to come back. We don’t live in Medford, and had to make an unexpected stop here because of car troubles. Coming to Portal was our consolation prize, and I had no idea it would be so amazing! The spicy mushroom tacos were outstanding, and my husband devoured his chicken tacos. He had the breadsticks as an appetizer, and I had the pretzel- both were incredible. As for the beer, ohhh my! So hard to choose, and each one we tried was delicious. Went for a taste of flight because it too hard to decide on one. The server was super thoughtful. Portal is for sure going to be a fixture when we come through Oregon. I will go out of my way to come back here again and again!

I’ve traveled pretty extensively through the Pacific Northwest and gems like this are always a pleasure to find. The brews were awesome with a good frank recommendation by staff. The staff truly loves the place and enjoys what they do as well as having a commitment to helping the community. The vegetarian menu had quite tasty options for a old meat eater like me as well as my vegetarian friends. It’s small, it’s cozy, and it’s the kind of place you can get a pint and read your latest poetry digest or chat it up with others about local happenings and causes. If I lived in the area I’d definitely be here weekly as a regular. The schnitzel master really hit the spot and my peanut butter beer was even better. If you really like it here hit their Patreon up for them to help out the community too. Next time I’m in Medford I’m definitely coming back.

My wife and I love this place. Very welcoming and cozy atmosphere, and the beer is fantastic. We are especially grateful for the plant based menu and extensive gluten free options. Far and away the best vegan food in the valley in our opinion. Just an all around top tier spot and we are very thankful to have them in our town!

I used to love this place but something has changed. The beers aren’t nearly as interesting or good and the food is expensive, not vegan anymore and tastes not as good. I hope that whatever changes have been made are temporary. It feels like the place has been gutted of all charm and replaced with cold hard capitalism.

Julie and I enjoyed dinner Wednesday. Julie loved her couple of pints of Lambic with a Falafel Waffle salad (Julie has an open mind and I admit trying it I was surprised how good it is).
