This place is beyond phenomenal! The atmosphere and the dishes go hand-in-hand; just perfect. The music and decor were just as handcrafted as the dishes – it was perfect. The dirty martinis was super smooth, and the espresso martinis were, well…. perfect! All of the dishes have a wonderful flavor profile, and each previous course was a great introduction into the next course. I don’t usually enjoy the skin on salmon, but Ardor changed that for me – it was fantastic; and the use of fresh dill just took the plate over the moon. This is an excellent date-night restaurant, and an exceptional place to have a nice dinner with friends. You eat a lot of food, taste some amazing flavor combinations, and you’ll still have room for dessert – which was super #yummy. I’m very impressed with the flavor profiles and combinations they use; and the service was top-tier. Valarie was amazing! Again, this place is perfect. ✨

We have been trying to get to Ardor for dinner for will over a year… I am beyond excited that we finally got here! The food was INCREDIBLE! You can taste the love and care put into each dish. My goodness, the carrots, the dumplings, and the pork were all stand out dishes. But I’m sure you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I would curl up in my bed with five bowls of those dumplings!! Comfort in a bowl. The service and ambiance were also wonderful. We WILL be back!

Follow up: Returned for their NYE menu.. Nick, the manager, promised he will keep their fried rice and crab balls on the menu (it’s in writing now, no takesies backsies)!!! Kalyan (sp) is a phenomenal server, welcome back!

ARDOR Breads and Provisions is a wonderful spot that leaves a lasting impression. The ambience is warm and inviting with a clean space, cozy interiors, and beautiful pictures on the walls that add charm to the dining experience. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, and the chef is very friendly too, making the visit even more enjoyable. We have known this place since the time it did not have the additional seating area, and it has only grown better over time.

Both the food and beverages are excellent. Every bite shows the effort the team is putting behind, and the menu offers delicious flavors that make it worth every visit. The bakery items are a highlight and should definitely not be missed, as they showcase freshness and great taste.

Parking is convenient too, with public parking available just opposite the restaurant.

Ardor is one of the best places to eat in the area! Dining in or ordering to go, the quality has never dipped for a moment! Today for example, I was late grabbing my to go order and my cup of soup still needed to be put in the bag. At first I thought they had just forgotten it, BUT they were waiting for me to get there so it would still be warm! This small attention to detail speaks volumes of the level of care going into the food they serve. I was fully prepared for cold soup, I was the one that was late! And on that note, the tomato soup is divine, it has a wonderful velvety texture without feeling heavy in the slightest. I was finally able to get the jamón baguette sandwich after always seeing it sold out, also absolutely lovely. It’s hard to go wrong when you start out with bread this good, but my goodness, they really knock the ball out of the park!

What a gem. I’ve had this place on my “must try” list for over a year and finally got a chance to eat here over the weekend. Let me just say it was well worth it! I had the chicken and french toast, a chocolate pastry, and the sourdough bread. All delicious. Just note that the chicken and french toast is really sweet. They caramelize the outside of the French toast for even more sugar sweetness.

I don’t know what a restaurant like this is doing in the middle of Peoria, Illinois but I’ll take it! This bakery is the best bakery we’ve seen in the US so far (and we travel a lot). I got the breakfast sandwich and the croissant they used melted like butter. They used thick real bacon, not some store bought brittle crap. My wife got the dumplings and she was blown away how good they were. She also got matcha and said It’s better than any other matcha she’s ever made, I was shocked to hear it. I got the tepache, which is a fermented pineapple drink. It’s genuinely the most refreshing beverage I’ve ever had. Everything was so good we decided to take a pizza to go and that was not a mistake. It’s wood fired (you can see the literally wood they fire in the kitchen) and it’s legit. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS PLACE! It’s very expensive, but worth the money!

Incredible selection of dishes. Who would have ever thought to do Asian rice congee with fish sauce bacon! And it was really fantastic both taste wise and texture! The pork porchetta is huge! Baked goods sre excellent.

Not your typical brunch/lunch place. Its bourgeois enough to make you google a few stuff on their menu. Good presentation, good food overall- slightly on the pricier side of things for Peoria. Location is great- right by the river.

I took my wife to our favorite restaurant for her birthday, and once again, they reminded us why this place holds such a special spot in our hearts. I had texted ahead with some notes about her preferences, and the team handled everything flawlessly. Chef Zeke’s rarebit and pork rib dishes were nothing short of spectacular—each bite was bursting with thoughtful flavors that left a lasting impression.

What truly sets this restaurant apart is the genuine warmth from every employee. They made us feel like family, wishing my wife a happy birthday throughout the evening and attending to every detail with care and respect, never once being intrusive. That kind of attentive, heartfelt service is rare and deeply appreciated.

This experience reaffirmed why this restaurant remains our top choice. Thank you for another unforgettable night. Keep up the outstanding work!
