Social Profile:

IT ALL STARTED AT THE MARKET Ardor Breads and Provisions is the culmination of Founder + Head Baker Cody Scogin obsessing with fermentation, vegetation and old-fashioned cooking techniques. Taking years spent in very technique-driven kitchens and translating those philosophies into an approachable neighborhood cafe setting, Cody founded Ardor Breads and Provisions to promote and influence the idea of ingredient-driven craft cooking over fuss and intimidation. Ardor Breads and Provisions was developed three years ago in Scogin’s home kitchen, through the Illinois Cottage Foods Act, and is now housed less than 100 yards from the farmers market where the brand was built, at 301 SW Water St, on Peoria’s historic riverfront.

Great breakfast place in town. Their Almond croissant is the best! I would come again and again for this. Their ordering system was great – easy to order! I ordered the grilled cheese which was amazing. Hash browns was okay! They make their own sourdough bread. Recommend this place for a special occasion as the price is little high.

Did the Ardor After Dark and was super impressed. The ribeye was cook medium with fingerling potatoes and everyone at the table said it was their favorite. Ordered the fish dish which was equally delicious and the shrimp with scallops along with a chicken dish served with squash that was superb. Had the sourdough bread with speck and raspberry jam for an appetizer that was well worth it. Chocolate croissants and cheese Danish for deserts are highly recommended.

First time trying after hearing lots of positive reviews, did not disappoint. We got the roasted carrot “curry” with herbs from the Ard sesame crusted bread with house-made butter, tender duck breast with cherries, and carrot cake with currants, caramel, and a refreshing carrot ice cream. I drank a fermented pineapple non-alcoholic cocktail. Everything was delicious, staff was attentive, and I was very impressed with the intentionality of the decor from the beautiful ceramicware to the bustling open kitchen. Our waiter was conscious and receptive when we requested that the music be turned down. Located between Blue Duck and Rhythm Kitchen, this might be the best block in Peoria for high-quality, true-to-the-city dining.

I’ve never been to Ardor 1.0 but dang, Ardor 2.0 is awesome! Apparently, ended up going on the first day of opening — lucky! Ordered the krispykouign, steak & eggs, and a couple of Tartines. They were as delicious as they were mouthwatering in appeal. In the restaurant, they have a neat area where you can view and order pastries to eat in or to-go. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended anything with croissants, as that is one of the chef’s specialties. Great local restaurant that is great for the up-and-coming Peoria community. Highly recommend.

My family and I had a positive experience. We attempted ordering on the phone but ended up needing help. Lol. I’m not the most tech savvy. We all enjoyed everything we ordered and left with a sourdough to take home. The staff was so kind. Thank you for the great food and great experience. My kids said this place is a keeper. I have to agree.

We were here from out of town for a concert. We stopped in and absolutely loved it here. The food was absolutely amazing. The pastries are fresh baked and absolutely heavenly. Many unique choices to fit anyone’s tastes. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The menu is a qr code that you scan. You place and pay for your entire order through your phone, which was very convenient. The atmosphere is great. Right across the street is the riverfront and an amazing view of the Murray Baker Bridge.

A different experience from anything else Peoria has to offer. Delicious coffee and bakery treats. Loved the turnip salad! Quite a sight to look at as well, probably should have taken a photo…but once I started eating it..I couldn’t stop. The drinks were exceptionally refreshing and hand crafted. The Beverage Director is able to customize them according to your desire. Can’t wait to go back!

An amazing bakery/breakfast place in downtown Peoria. The pastries are fluffy, crunchy and had awesome flavor. This is a must place in Peoria to visit. Be ready to wait for sometime. They only have few tables and some chefs counter table. The staff are very polite and friendly. I would definitely go again.
