Pokeatery

Pokeatery is a Santa Clara restaurant featuring Poké (pronounced “poh-kay”), a raw salad found in Hawaiian cuisine. Fresh, healthy, and tasty, it is a popular dish that is served at all varieties of meals and get-togethers, and found in fancy restaurants and neighborhood grocery stores. The most common poke is made with ahi tuna, but it can be found in many different types and flavors. We offer a variety of fish options, as well as a vegetarian tofu poke. Coming from a family background with over 20 years of experience in sushi restaurants and a great love of fresh fish, we decided to start Pokeatery. Our goal is to provide great tasting poke made with the highest quality ingredients, and serve it with a smile. We hope you enjoy!

Laid-back cafe serving generous made-to-order Hawaiian poke, side salads & desserts.

I remember I came here when it first opened because I saw that they were offering free dole soft serve with check in. ✔️ The amount was super generous, just like the bowls here and it was honestly one of the most flavorful pineapple soft serves I have ever eaten. Tbh I have only had these at Disneyland and in Hawaii.

Delicious poke spot! Expensive but average for the South Bay Area ($17.50). The food was fresh, worth the 5 star. For the price though, you don’t get a lot of food. People with big appetites will probably still be hungry afterwards. I ordered the salmon and spicy tuna bowl.

They have you order yourself on an iPad so a kid with air pods in can make your bowl in his own peace without having to talk to you. I got a tuna poke bowl and my tuna was very oxidized, not bright in color at all, almost gray. It passed my smell test but I was very turned off and threw my bowl away. I didn’t notice until I took it home because I grabbed it to go and did not watch the staff build my bowl.

I’ve just about tried every Poke place in the South Bay/San Jose and this place is definitely a contender for my favorite poke spot. The person helping us patiently explained all the available selections and there is a large variety in bases/toppings/sauces that you won’t find at other poke places. The portion size is not the biggest but I found it enough to be a satisfying meal. Definitely would recommend giving this place a try!

Located right by the theater among many restaurants. $17.5 for 4 scopes. Free crab salad option. The portion is not really big. Portion is only for 1 ‘light’ eater. With all the other food options nearby ( famous fried chicken, ramen, udon etc) this one might have a hard time competing in a long run.

waited 20 mins for a poke, and the poke tastes fishy and bad. Felt really sick after having it. Salmon was out, staff didn’t even ask me what I want to replace but give me one of her choice.

Really good poke. Great to see some toppings that are common in Hawaii but hard to find here, like limu and kukui nut. There’s a ton of variety available in sauce, fish, etc. We will definitely be back!
