Mac & Cheese was the best, it was flavorful but not salty and addicting. Pork chop sandwich was juicy and crispy with these fluffy thick slice bread. The fish and chips were very tasty. And nothing was greasy & perfectly cooked & seasoned. The interior of establishment was very chic with good music.

I’ve had Poes before when they were at other location. I didn’t frequent because it was horrible parking and not the best of areas. Like get your food and run to your car! So I was happy they relocated to downtown. I was finally able to stop in. They’re entrance is inside the arcade mall building. It’s spacious inside. Booths and tables. I think i heard that they were posing to redecorate however. There were maybe 3 tvs on wall. I ordered po-boy sandwich with fries and macaroni. It was on the punch menu but they said they serve it all day. Let me yell you, the wait was loooong. Like 40mins maybe… thank goodness for the tvs! I watched the Woman King while waiting. Also conversed with lady on register who was very personable and friendly, and other customers waiting. So the conversation filled the gap of time, but still, that was a long wait. The food though… it was bangin!! I been waiting for some good macaroni and cheese since that sorry plate I had at Thelmas last year! And this was worth the wait. Creamy, tasty, seasoned, gooey, just perfect. And the po-boy…oh-boy!! Saucy, flavorful, perfectly breaded.i of course added tartar sauce, but it really wasn’t needed. So good! I also bought some peanut butter cookies. They weren’t hitting, I don’t need those again.. but I’m glad they are near me now. When I’m craving good Mac, it’s good to know it’s close by. Just call in the order first!

Ordered on Uber eats (my Sunday Dinner) the honey hot wings, Mac, & dirty rice. The rice was good, the wings (ones that I ate) were good(tasted like fresh chicken), the ones I didn’t eat were hard with sauce thrown on them (gave old fried chicken that was fried the day before). The mac was the most disappointing coming from a Black women.. I was definitely looking for the sharp cheddar cheese along with the other different shredded cheeses, eggs to hold it all together, condensed milk for a lil sweetness & everything else but, idk … it gave Velveeta cream sauce.. I don’t eat cornbread, looked soft & good though.

Don’t waste your time ! I ordered a simple chicken , shrimp and a few sides. They gave me 4 of the same side and just shrimp. 45$ for straight garbage.

I ordered the lemon pepper wings and they were salty. So salty it tasted like someone just dumbed salt all over the wings and saturated them in it. The dirty rice was also salty. The fish and sweet potatoes were good, but the Mac and cheese was falling apart and don’t give you an adequate amount as they do everything else. Not a suggested choice or worth the money.

Decided to try this place after seeing it on Facebook a few times. It was located in a sketchy area. It is a very busy one way street next to a field. We ended up getting parking right in front which was great. We went inside the place is extremely busy with customers. We waited 20 minutes for a food. It was totally worth the wait. One person ordered salmon and shrimp with the rice. I ordered the chicken, mac & cheese and yams. The staff was okay but the food was definitely worth it. Everything was hot and fresh. I would definitely recommend this place.
