Went through rt 18 and found this place . My wife and kids love fruits and wanted to try these bowls . We ordered Goji . Service was quick . Nice indoors and lots of seats around . Price was ok . Got a bowl for about 12$ which isn’t very expensive.

By far the worst playa bowl I’ve been too. Paid full price for two bowls yet they came out half way. The employees were making their own bowls and talking while there was a line of customers waiting for their order. The girl at the register was great, everything else was not.

Around the area, haven’t had Playa for awhile so I decided to stop in to get a smoothie. Not very busy, about 4-5 staff members working. Waited with my kids. After about 25-minutes of waiting, and noticing others receiving their orders before me, I asked if my smoothie was ready? The girl was nice, apologized, and advised they forgot. Ok, it happens. Maybe, next time, staff can be more aware of which customers are waiting and which orders haven’t been fulfilled. Or they can communicate, “hey, I apologize for the delay, order should be ready in the next 10-minutes. Communication is key for great customer service. I would have easily understood if maybe they advised me, “I’m sorry I’m running a little behind thank you for your patience.” But there were a reasonable amount of staff. The volume was balanced. Not busy nor slow. If 1 out 5 staff members would have inquired about me waiting, all would have been resolved in a timely manner. Rather, all failed to notice me waiting. My reason for rating a one star is because after waiting I noticed how dirty things were kept. Garbage left in multiple places, straws, used containers, cups, straw wrappers, flies in the refrigerated area where drinks are kept. They had an umbrella left in the middle of the entrance which is an accident waiting to happen. Outside also is dirty. Used spoons and left over food spilled from other people eating. If there is sufficient staff, one member of team should attend to at least cleaning the tables and picking up. The appearance is the foundation and impression of when customers come in, especially for those who are waiting. Would you trust a restaurant making your food that is unkept? Hope you guys consider this review and make improvements.

I went to your East Brunswick location today and order a power bowl and 20 oz Mermaid Fuel. I had tried the previous week to order this drink from this location and was told my order was ready and when I went to obtain my order they said “ohh the juicer doesn’t have work. Today I tried once more. My drink was yellow with orange foam coming out of it. I said to the associate is this the mermaid fuel she said yes. I said it’s usually green. She stated it’s normal because we use the stalks. I have had this drink multiple times and it has never had orange foam coming from it. I tried it and it tasted like oranges. How does a drink with Kale, Pineapple, Mint, and Green Apple come out yellow tasting like oranges. I walked back in and asked for a refund. They told me to keep the drink, I said no ad this is not what I order. I then proceeded to be ignored for 10 minutes why the staff walked past me, glarring at me and taking other customers why I waited. When they finally got their manager they said “ohh we remade your drink” I said that I wanted a refund, and no a remake. The staff’s customer service was appalling. The staff is all young girls most likely high school early 20s. The way I was treated was absurd. I will NEVER go back to this establishment. Associates Mikayla, Diana. When I called the store back for the names of the associates they were very rude and unprofessional.

Edit : after ordering online today because i was in a hurry and thought it would be faster. I came in and they told me it still wasn’t ready that’s totally fine but then they never called my name after 30 min I asked the same exact girl and she gets it from the fridge. I waited 30 minutes for no reason. It’s unfortunate because this is the only take out food im allowed to eat but will be trying the new smoothie place . It never seems like they have a manager and noone knows what anyone is doing . Ive had alot of really bad experiences here but ive kept that to myself. Assign people certain jobs because everyone trying to do the same thing just isnt working. Ordering online should be faster & the 2 times ive used it ive had the most problems. Hire a manager already

I love the açaí and pitaya bowl from the Playa bowl. However, for the third time in a row, I’m not well attended by the employees. They always add unordered things and remove what they shouldn’t. This Sunday, 05/21, I sat for 20 minutes waiting for my request, which was lost by the employee, who at the moment was joking with the others. When I questioned the delay, I didn’t receive an apology, nothing. Not that the work environment should be a place without a good coexistence, but the client should be taken more seriously.
