As a person who travels a lot, it is hard to find gluten-free without any cross contamination in most restaurants. I even have trouble at restaurants that have gluten-free options.

Really excellent food served with an undeniably great view. Focus on sustainability is a particular draw. In the off season this place is basically abandoned though so… don’t need any sort of reservation, and you’ll dine mostly alone. Kinda weird. Also menu was reduced. Oops.

Delicious food created by a great chef. Even though there aren’t many specific vegan dishes on the menu, the chef is accommodating and pretty creative in their offering. The tofu used in our dishes was made perfectly, we weren’t expecting the usage of silken tofu in a fried rendition. Good selection of non alcoholic drinks too.

Plato was a lot of fun, and the food was excellent! We got a bottle of wine, and had the duck and lamb. Chef Rachel nailed it!! I was so impressed with the level of skill and the flavors. Mitch was our waiter, and he was great! Very attentive, and highly professional. I would definitely come back. Highly recommend. I wish we had come a little earlier though to enjoy the views and I wish it was warmer so we could eat outside, but you can’t control nature 5 stars all the way.

Checked out this restaurant during our stay at the resort. The environment was great, and I enjoyed watching sunset from my seat. The food was, below expectation. We ordered from the winter menu, but should’ve ordered something from the all-day menu instead. My dish looks great but the taste needs some work. And the size could be bigger.

Plato’s patio has the best view of Aspen bar none. Spectacular views of all four ski mountains. And Rachel executive chef over Plato’s is amazingly creative- keep an eye on this young lady. She could be a future. James beard award winner

Superior service, inventive food, and spectacular view. Plato’s was our favorite restaurant from a five-day vacation to Aspen. The restaurant is part of the Aspen Meadows Resort on the outskirts of Aspen; while this isn’t easily walkable from the city center, don’t let the distance deter you from making reservations and taking a hotel shuttle, private auto, or taxi to the location. The reception was friendly and efficient; our hostess accommodated our desired seating for a wonderful view but out of the sun (there inside and outside seating with umbrellas for shade outside). No matter the seating, the perspective is a spectacular scene across the valley. The service was fantastic; everyone was professional, friendly, and accommodating. The design and furnishings are sleek modern with good contemporary music in the background. The menu was smallish but very interesting with an emphasis on local ingredients. We tried a smattering of dishes from the All Day and Seasonal menus—everything was spectacular in presentation, taste, and inventiveness. The bar drinks were interesting and tasty, although the bar did tend to get overwhelmed at times. The prices were on the higher side (normal for Aspen) but well worth it—a top value among comparable local restaurants. Overall, I rate Plato’s as Highly Recommended—the best restaurant in Aspen.

Amazing food! Went here for my birthday dinner, they brought out 2 appetizers for us. I love how they used locally sourced food. The Elk was perfect, maybe it was the way it was sliced thinly, but it didn’t taste too gamey. Bone marrow was to die for, like always, came with a sweet peach chutney. The beet gazpacho was personally one of my favorite dishes. It was mouth watering and the (what I believe was cucumber) added a refreshing spin. I wasn’t crazy about the caviar, however my husband thought they were perfect. I felt the potatoes and cream took over the dish. We definitely would recommend this spot for anyone celebrating an occasion or looking for a great meal. Plus the view is wonderful!
