Great service and and selection of good country cooking. Fried fish, shrimp, and chicken was really good. Large salad bar and desert bar. Too much to list but was great value….

Nice country buffet for our “neck of the woods”. It gets old to drive to the “golden cow” that is north to Jacksonville and South to Wilmington. Food selection is very well diverse. Large dining room. All three meal times served and reasonably priced. You pay upfront at the front door. They do ask to wait to be seated at the entrance to dining room. The doorway to your far left leads to the buffet area(and the restrooms). Give Nate’s a try. Unfortunately Nate’s has closed permanently. Please still visit their other restaurant, Madison’s in Sneads Ferry.

Skip lunch and go to Nate’s Country Buffet for dinner!! Everyone at our table waddled away with great big smiles on our faces. For the price you couldn’t do much better!! The food was tasty, fresh and of great variety. The staff was especially considerate and attentive. We will definitely be back!!!

Stopped by with my wife for lunch and was happily surprised. This buffet just opened up a month or so ago and I always see lots of cars in the parking lot and lots of people at a restaurant is a good sign that the food is good. The food was well prepared, the server was really nice, the atmosphere was laid back, and the restaurant was very clean. I have a feeling that the locals are going to appreciate and support this business. If ever you find yourself driving threw Holly Ridge like I was make sure you stop by and eat up.

My best friend and I stopped in a few days ago as we were riding around the area. The food was amazing. BBQ and Cole slaw was my favorite. Atmosphere and service was great too. The Christian sayings on the walls were enjoyable to read as well. We will be back for sure and will bring more people to share in our experience with you guys!

Was somewhat hesitant at first after seeing the price, once inside this place is not going to be known for fine dining but if you are looking for absolutely great comfort food at the most reasonable price you can find along the coast, then Nates is the place to go. The fried chicken was moist and delicious, everything I tried was very good. But let me tell you about the collard greens, “like butter” they were the best collards I think I have ever put in my mouth, OMG!!! The restaurant was clean, the staff was polite and friendly. The dining area is so large i cant imagine ever having to wait for a table, but if you had too, trust me, you wont be disappointed.

The macaroni and cheese was the best I’ve ever eaten. Chicken liver was so good. Potato casserole with cheese and bacon was to die for. Can’t say enough good things about all of the food. The man bringing the food out was so very nice and friendly. I appreciate him talking to me about the food. Cant say much or anything nice about the cashier. Servers would have gotten a much bigger tip if tea was kept filled. Desserts were to dry. I was impressed that the guy bringing out the food would compliment the owner. Says a lot for him and the owner. Thank you again for great food and great cooks.
