The food was pretty good but most importantly, the service was phenomenal! The gentleman who served us at the counter was super kind and attentive. When we asked for something to be put out, he was very nice about it and gave us first pick. I’m sure they do this regardless but interacting with him just felt easy and I never felt like we were an inconvenience. I would seriously recommend coming here!

I called at 6:30 to let them know we had about 25 people coming, was put on hold 3 times. After 10 minutes I hang up and we went in. One lady came out of the kitchen and very loudly said “are you kidding me!” The food was decent the stopped making dessert pizza and turn the warmer off after our group was only halfway through the meal.we asked to use the party room since it was open and such a large group and the young lady at the counter said that we could. Only to have another come in 10 minutes later and rudely say “who told you you could sit in here!?” Alright food, not so great service.

Walking in and there was a customer behind the counter. Two the lady when she took her money to pay for Buffet ask if there was anything special. We said yes nobody came around to pick the plates up the pizza came out that we told her we liked never brought one to the table like the other ones do. This was the worst pizza ranch we’ve ever ate at. First it cost us $40 for two seniors. What’s that all about. The chicken was burnt. The mashed potatoes were so thick and lumpy they wouldn’t come off the spoon. Nothing on salad bar seemed fresh. They had no desert pizza. All my husband ate was 2 pickles, a piece of burnt chicken and a scoop of pudding that seemed sour. Won’t go back again.

Was clean, friendly staff, very good chicken. BLT pizza was haphazardly put together, the Barq’s root beer was empty, the Buffett prices have gotten quite outrageous, and the lettuce for the salad was mostly the white (no greens).

Decided to take the kids after a long trip. There was hardly any hot food on the buffet. I asked a bus boy if he could make a dessert pizza for us he went and told the manager on duty and her response was “I guess” with a horrible attitude. Once the pizza came out it was still raw so I just passed and gave up on the food. I worked for a pizza ranch before and the owners who own the one in story city were the owners I worked for in waukee, they would of chewed me out if I left the buffet empty and treated the customers like garbage. 60 dollars I paid for each of us to have 1 plate each. I will just stick to the pizza ranches in the metro.

One of the better Pizza Ranchs I’ve been to. The food was all hot and fresh. They had a teriyaki and bbq chicken that was amazing, the fried chicken was on point. Everything was great and you don’t always get that with buffets.

You can sure tell when the manager Laura isn’t working.. we asked for a speciality pizza late because forgot to order when we paid it took 30 minutes what there was for food on the bar was dried out and cold.. when asked to talk to manager Crystal don’t think she is manager no one that rude can be a manager yelling at me then telling me I was rude because I was asking questions .. if you choose to eat here please make sure Laura is working and that they don’t have a large number of pizza prior to your visit .. they aren’t able to handle the to go orders and the floor

2 times I Ordered chicken (dark meat only). Waited 2 hrs. and called. They apologized and sent another order only to get mixed chicken. Never received any refunds or discounts. Don’t think I will order from here again.This is not how you should treat your customers especially as much as we do (or did) business here. Get the order right.
