We hired Pittsburgh Barbecue Company to cater our wedding last month and they did not disappoint! Vicki (our main point of contact on the day of the event) was tremendous! She was one of the first people to the venue that morning to set up table linens and was one of the last people to leave that night.

Ribs are definitely on the dry side. I think the issue is they cook the ribs and then leave in warming box too long which ends up drying out the meat.

Prices are false and they do nothing to inform you of this at all. Stopped in around 6:40 on our way home. While there is a sign that says “prices subject to change”, I didn’t think they meant from when you’re standing there reading the board and ordering. A pound of pulled chicken said $10, 2 meat combo said $19.99 with 2 sides +$1 for brisket. Sides said small was $3.00. I get my bill and we were in a hurry, had to be home for a call at 7 so I couldn’t look at it in detail. On my check I was charged $18.99 for the pound of pulled chicken, $24.99 for one 2 meat combo, $25.99 for another 2 meat combo, and then $1.00 for a combo up? That’s $20 more than the prices that were written on the board that I was ordering off of and asking questions about. At no point in time did anyone say, those prices aren’t correct, even when my kids said they felt bad for ordering because it was so much for the meal and I said it’s for 2 meats it’s fine, or when I asked how much was actually in the pound and said how it was worth it then to do the pound for 10 instead of a combo or side portion. I just think lying and taking advantage of customers is a sleezy tactic, but I’m pretty sure that’s why we stopped coming down last year and I forgot until it happened this time. The same prices have been up on the board since last summer. If you know they’re incorrect, erase the chalk and correct them instead of lying to customers and then overcharging them. When I read a menu I expect to pay the price it has listed, not a price the restaurant feels like charging spur of the moment. Not to mention the chicken was so dry it was literally not edible. Mac was ok, ribs were decent, brisket was ok, pulled chicken was awful.

If you have eaten good brisket. Don’t waste your time here. The fat is all cooked out of the brisket here. You might as well order a slice of roast . Super dry . Way over cooked. The only way to enjoy it ….is to smother it with barbecue sauce.

We had Pitt BBQ cater for our wedding and Judee and her team went above and beyond to make us and our guests comfortable and well taken care of. The food was phenomenal and the team displayed our desserts beautifully. Definitely recommend them for any event!

This place is a little hidden gem of BBQ goodness. I got the pulled pork, potato salad, and cornbread. Literally amazing. The potato salad was a great cool contrast to the heavy sandwich and rich cornbread. Legitimately, the corn bread was like half a pound and you could feel all the butter it in. It was super moist, filled with real corn, and a great addition to the meal. The spicy sauce was good, not extremely spicy but made the pulled pork not dry. It was messy, saucy, and served by smiling faces. I was literally stuffed walking out, so you can be sure that you’re getting your money’s worth. Great food, service, and should be better known. It’s a little hard to find, but don’t miss out!

Over the years I’ve tried to support Pgh Barbecue for their ribs. However, the ribs are always dry and tasteless. I’ve never purchased a juicy slab of ribs at this restaurant. I really expect mush more for my $28 for a full slab. I will travel to Wilson’s Barbecue on the North Side from now on. I give up!!!!

What can sooth the soul after a long day of grieving and burying a love one? Service and foot by PBC. They knew the room and their food matched. Everyone raved about the selections. They offered plenty of take home as if they were family. We had to travel home to Baltimore, and this was a welcomed treat after the drive. Great catering service.

The spicy sauce is one of the Best Bbq sauces I’ve ever had ! The St Louis style ribs were beyond Tender. And the Brisket was phanomenal ! I did add spicy sauce to everything lol. Mac n chesse and the beans ! So amazing ! We might not be BIG on BBQ in Illinois. But we know good food and this place gets FIVE from me !

Our family really enjoyed the food from here. Brisket was dynamite, St Louis style ribs were delicious, and the pulled pork was tasty. Mild and spicy BBQ was on point, and all the sides (corn, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and cornbread) were gobbled up. We’ll come back the next time we’re in the area. Keep up the great work!
